My overall experience is great. The only downside, in my opinion, is that it can be challenging to connect with your peers or like-minded student.
The teachers are very caring and dedicated to the students . I receive feedback in a timely manner and they give different resources that can help the children.
New Utrecht has a very welcoming committee. The staff of New Utrecht is very welcoming from what I've experienced the last four years. There was never a moment where I felt unheard or have regretted my time in Utrecht. Everyone is always so involved in everything that relates to the school whether it'd be our shows, concerts, school events, college nights, or even little things such as the announcements every morning. I feel very at home here, teachers respect your decisions and choices which makes me feel safe. The education at Utrecht is also not the worst, but it all depends who you get as a teacher and who you are as a person. But I know that no matter what everyone will do everything possible to make you succeed in Utrecht, there won't ever be a time where a teacher or student purposely makes you fail or doubt yourself.
My experience at New Utrecht Highschool has been a unique one. On one hand I have supportive staff and good relationships with faculty but on the other hand the students are hard to connect with due to the lack of African American students. The school has provided many great resources and job opportunities for my future and college readiness programs. The clubs are unique and different. There is so much I love about this school . I just wish there was more diversity and acknowledgement of the lack there is.
It is a very normal school in brooklyn, there’s a lot of diversity amongst the students and there’s a good community within the school.
Attending this high school has been a pretty casual experience. The school itself is very average and normal, but I found that the teachers themselves are what shape your experience. If you take challenging classes, you will be satisfied with yourself and feel safe, however if you take below-average courses you will find yourself surrounded by people who don't care about their grades or student portfolio. Being around different people in this school shapes you, so as long as you are motivated and direct, you will thrive since you will be around people who help you work harder. Additionally I found that many teachers in the non-serious classes are not very dedicated in their teaching and do not care about their lazy students, they just give them passing grades and let them live their lives in school doing nothing, bothering other students.
I was pretty much a loner in the school, I didn't really have that much friends or anyone to talk to. It made my high school experience dreadful. The only thing I benefited from being a student here was being in a credit catchup- class that helped me graduate on time. My school social worker and my school guidance counselor played an important role in my graduation.
The community is very welcoming and friendly. There are countless opportunities in academics and sports, as well as programs, internships, and more. The community is always supportive and is ready to help when needed. Thankful for this community.
My experience in New Utrecht High School has overall been mostly positive. Many of the teachers are very nice and understanding of the students. They also are very knowlegable about their respected subjects. Also many different clubs and extracurricular activities are available such as numerous sports teams. There is something for every student to enjoy. Some of the negative parts of my experience would be the cleanliness of the school. New Utrecht isn't the most clean from the bathrooms to the staircases. But other than that the school is great!
My experience in New Utrecht High School was interesting. It was very different because only till sophomore year I was attending in person classes. Since the passed year school was held virtually online. But I was able to get used to the schedule, and push myself to do my best in accomplishing my assignments.
All the teachers are amazing and I’ve made lots of nice friends. The community is very welcoming and I haven’t had a bad a bad experience in the school.
The experience is great. The teachers are friendly, and you're able to take all the classes you want. Haven't encountered any bullying
I gave this school a 3 because I've gained knowledge through this school. In my opinion it was the students that are at this school that made this schools reputation so bad. Other than that this school is not bad.
New Utrecht high school have variety of classes I could choose but the thing is it computer generated whether or not you are going to have the class you want. I like the fact that the teachers are always preparing students for upcoming exams and help students get ready for college. This school also provides fun events for the student to entertain as well as international trips. I’m like how they sent a email to every students and upcoming important events and email for students to choose AP classes as well elective classes. I dislike the fact that every semester the classes change to different teacher and classmates. I also disappointed that I can’t get into the program that I want to get in this school. I’m also don’t like how they didn’t explain the club work clearly. Overall the teacher are nice to get along with if you are nice to them, there was so many fun and informative events. I already made so much fantastic memories with the school for those past month.
It is a good school so far. So far I haven't seen any problems except for students who go to the restrooms to skip class. The school tried to fix that by locking the restrooms ten minutes before a period ends and after a period ends. What I don't like about that rule is that students who really need to use the restroom can not go until those 10 minutes are up. Other than that, I didn't really have a problem with the school. The Clubs in the school are also good and they're fun.
New Utrecht High School is a good place to go as long as you try your best to make your own opportunities. Without trying to make the best of your time, New Utrecht will just be a normal high school experience, not much benefits.
A little bit strict, courses are going little bit fast, from last year or two years before, new Utrecht had a lot of fighting scuffles between the students, the school lunch sucked, and a lot of quizzes and exam.
