Just noticed that I’m heading for one of those milestones so beloved of AK and WAYLTRN in particular. Damn! I remember when we were quite excited that @needforspeed had hit about 75,000 likes (totally deserving, btw, as one of THE mainstays of the thread).

Well, unless the entire might of AK conspires against me, I’m going to have “like” #190,000 attributed to the musical depiction of a multiple orgasm (and that’s only part 1: stay tuned for the even more thrilling part 2).

But which version to choose? You don’t attempt this piece unless you have the chops to do it well. Bernstein? He did it twice? Karajan, maybe. Nope! He was too late and didn’t do it at all. Ozawa? Nah! I love the guy but in this case, he’s an also ran. Boulez? That works nicely:
