Instagram recently replaced its Nametags feature with traditional QR codes. You can scan someone’s Instagram QR code to quickly go to their profile, rather than being required to type their Instagram username manually.
Our guide will show you how to scan someone’s Instagram QR code from within the Instagram application.

Step 1: On your Instagram profile, tap the three horizontal lines in the top-right corner of the screen.
Step 2: Tap “QR Code.”
Step 3: At the bottom of the screen, tap “Scan QR Code.”
Step 4: Your device’s camera will open. Point your camera at the user’s Instagram QR code, so that the code is within the four corners in the center of your screen. The app will then scan the QR code.
