My experience a Clark Atlanta University was challenging. I was not taught ways to network or connect with people. I had a hard time finding ME, what I am capable of. I felt like I was not fitted and that is okay! I was starting to feel like my parents money and extra long shifts was because of me. I begged my parents to go to this school just for me to end up unhappy with every outcome. Freshman-Junior Year I was not satisfied but still trying to hold it together. I knew this was a challenge I had to overcome because I’m better than that to just “give up”. I decided that maybe it was me but it was also the location. An environment can change your perspective in so many ways! Now it’s time to do me, with one year left in college, I want to make memories and not be miserable. Do I feel like I wasted 3 years of my life? Yes! But this is all just a learning experience. I am blessed to be accepted into FAMU and hope for the feeling I’ve always wanted within a real college/university.
Great art department, culturally rich environment. Good staff, great location in Atlanta. Diverse community
From attending Clark Atlanta I’ve felt safe. Have formed myself a family and great connections in life. It’s helped me explore more and be more confident , I’m comfortable with everything I do. I feel like I have a purpose and as a student I feel like I matter to the faculty and staff members.
Im not a student who attends Clark Atlanta university, but I’m and high school, an upcoming senior and I would love to attend Clark when I graduate. I’ve heard about so many opportunities and how fun the experience would be to attend Clark Atlanta University. What stands out to me the most is that it is a HBCU i always dreamed of want to join or attend and hbcu college. Thanks for the opportunity to share my thoughts.
After a year here I would honestly say this hasn't been the best overall experience I've ever had but it also hasn't been the worst. There are a handful of good people and staff here that genuinely care about the students but there are some staff that see their position as a "job" and you can tell don't want to be there.
Clark Atlanta University is by far the best experience I've had since I graduated High School. The University prepare the youth for the upbringing of their own success. Being a part of the campus and university is a huge step for me because I'm a very antisocial person and being on campus is portraying me to become more advised about what's in my face and what I need to take advantage of. My academic success hasn't been the best since I've joined College but it's growing on me and I'm loving the experience. My chance to change my mindset and start to take advantage of the opportunities that are going to lead me to the best success.
I love my HBCU I would change nothing about the school except for the food and the housing situation other than that my school is a very safe and healthy school
Although Clark is a member of the AUC it does contribute to the party school reputation that they have been known for.
My experience at Clark Atlanta University has been nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped onto the campus, I was amazed by its inviting atmosphere and the warmth of both the staff and fellow students. The culture seamlessly fosters a sense of belonging, while the city of Atlanta has enriched my academic journey in ways I couldn't have imagined. Achieving the Dean’s list during my tenure has been a testament to the supportive learning environment and the dedication of the faculty. Reflecting on my experience, I wouldn't change a single aspect of the campus. Clark Atlanta University truly embodies excellence in education and community, and I am proud to be a part of it.
I enjoyed it! It is so safe and gives you the opportunity to reach your future education goals. The students are very helpful and goal driven also. The professors are will to help you the best they can.
I enjoy the adversity here, a lot of people are black, but they come from all over the place with different stories. I admire the way that administrators care about their students, they make students feel safe and heard. They consider our feelings while holding us to that great standard we should've been held to our whole lives. They know we endure hardships here daily either mentally, emotionally, or physically and they make sure to reassure that struggles come but they never stay, we must keep moving forward. I enjoy the many groups and organizations for everyone to fit in as well, highlighting skills that either one or many could possess. They make sure we are taken care of because this is in fact a private institution so maintaining wellness upon everyone especially students keeps the environment safe.
At Clark Atlanta, every day feels like an adventure waiting to unfold. From spontaneous dance battles on the quad to impromptu study sessions turning into deep conversations with newfound friends, the campus is alive with energy and possibility. Whether we're cheering on the Panthers at a basketball game or exploring the vibrant streets of Atlanta, there's never a dull moment. With laughter echoing through the halls and memories being made around every corner, Clark Atlanta isn't just a school—it's a home where fun and friendship flourish. Love my HBCU!!
I love the experience. It is awesome. Only thing I would like to see change is applying for housing. I feel like that portion of the process, especially for upcoming college students is very hectic and unorganized
I had a good experience at Clark Atlanta University. The cafe food is nice, the workers brings positive energy, and it gives people many opportunities to strive. What I would like to see change is housing. I had noticed a lot of people had problems with housing.
Clark Atlanta is a great institution that will help facilitate your success and resourcefulness after you graduate. I have left with grit, determination, and a strong sense of purpose. It is a great institution that will allow you to be yourself and grow into an evolved young adult.
As a freshman student at Clark Atlanta University, it has been one of my best experiences. It was easy to make friends, go out, and still have time to complete work and study for exams. The food is a 10/10 and the events on campus are something to die for. Watching young adults come out and sell the products they make by hand is a wonderful experience. Class time is also good for the education proposes, I feel like some professors could do a better job at explaining lessons and communication between students.
As a young black woman attending one of the best hbcu’s in the nation along with being my dream college I can say my experience has been transformative. Surrounded by a vibrant creative community, I have been able to thrive academically and socially, forging long lasting connections. The rich cultural environment and supportive faculty empowered me, fostering a sense of pride in my true identity and goals I have set forth for myself. As a business major I have appreciated most of all the personalize attention from passionate professors who brought real world experiences into the classroom. Networking opportunities with successful alumni also stood out. If I could change anything, I might advocate for expanded internship programs to enhance practical exposure and bridge the gap between academic theory and professional practice. But overall being able to engage in campus events and activism, I have embraced being a member of this Illustrious hbcu.
