She was a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists, regarded as a representative of the Leningrad school of painting.

    Yelena Dmitrievna Polenova (Russian: Елена Дмитриевна Поленова; 15 November 1850, Saint Petersburg - 7 November 1898, Moscow) was a Russian painter and graphic artist in the Art Nouveau style. She was one of the first illustrators of children's books in Russia. Her brother was the landscape painter Vasily Polenov.

    Polyxena Solovyova (Russian: Поликсена Сергеевна Соловьева, 20 March 1867 O.S./1 April 1867 (N. S.) – 16 August 1924) was a Russian poet and illustrator. A Symbolist poet, from the Silver Age of Russian Poetry, she won the Medal of Pushkin in 1908. She was the first person to translate Alice in Wonderland into the Russian language and was known for founding and illustrating the magazine and publishing house Тропинка (Path) with her partner, Natalia Manaseina.

    Tatyana Alekseevna Mavrina (Russian: Татьяна Алексеевна Маврина; 7 December 1900 – 19 August 1996) was a Russian artist and children's book illustrator. In 1976, she won the Hans Christian Andersen Award, an international award given to authors and illustrators who have made substantial contributions to children's literature. Up until 2018, she was the only Russian to win the award. She also was awarded the USSR State Prize in 1975 and the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR (Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic) in 1981. Her illustrations for children mainly consisted of fairy tales and were in the style of the Russian lubok.

    Gali-Dana Singer (Hebrew: גלי-דנה זינגר‎; born April 23, 1962) is a Russian and Hebrew poet, artist, photographer, and translator who was born in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. She studied at the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography in her hometown for three years, before deciding to leave without obtaining a degree. She immigrated to Israel from her native Leningrad in 1988, passing through and living in Riga with her husband Nekod Singer for three years before eventually settling down in Jerusalem where they currently reside. In the Israeli capital, her literary career and engagement in Russian and Hebrew culture and literature flourished.

    The sisters Galina Dmitrievna Chichagova (Russian: Галина Дмитриевна Чичагова; 1891–1966) and Olga Dmitrienva Chichagova (Russian: Ольга Дмитриевна Чичагова; 1886–1958) were Russian graphic artists known especially for children's book illustration. They collaborated through their entire careers, and most of their published work is attributed to the both of them.
