Green Eggs and Ham is known as the “bible” of beginning readers. It was written with the intention of helping children who are just starting to read independently, making it one of the world’s favorite early learning resources. Green Eggs and Ham is full of silly animals, characters, and rhymes that are always so much fun to read. It is a classic and your family would love to read it over and over.

If you have Dr. Seuss books at home or plan to get them, your kids will enjoy these activities and printables to go along with Green Eggs and Ham. The activities and printables will go great alongside a Preschool and Kindergarten study on Dr. Seuss with lesson plans or themed weeks.

Dr. Seuss’s Green Eggs and Ham raises some important questions about the relationship between beliefs and experiences. It is interesting to know that Dr. Seuss wrote this long rhyming romp of a picture book using only 50 different words. The message of the book is not just to get kids to eat the food moms make because they are good, but it sends the message that life is full of opportunity and deliciousness. Without giving things a chance we will just never know.
