Great little zoo. We stopped here on a trip from Philadelphia to DC and it was a perfect way to relax for a few hours. Nice area near the river and plenty of places to sit and rest.

I like this little zoo. It is very small, but sometimes small is nice. Sit for a while and watch the animals. With large zoos there are more animals, of course, but you tend to pass them quickly, in a crowd, and tick them off a virtual list. Do you really ever watch them? That’s what we did here. We observed the animals, and they were so interesting, how they interacted with each other, how they rested, and ate, and played. It’s a very small zoo. Yes. But it’s a nice small zoo, and it’s across from a lovely park. Bring a picnic, enjoy the day.

If you are looking something to do for an hour or less this is perfect. It is easy to see the animals that are there and it is in a pretty area. My favorite animals I saw where the three types of lemurs and the red panda.
However, this zoo is very very small and will take you less than an hour for sure. We tried to take our time because we had time to waste but even then it was still short.
I would recommend doing this though over just sitting inside.

This place is more like a super tiny mini zoo. The price for entry is too high for what you get to see. Really should be max $5 each. Save your $ and go to an actual zoo like Philadelphia zoo. We walked in and before you knew it we were already at the exit because there was no more to see.

This zoo is definitely the perfect size for ages 5 and under. I took our 4 year old here and we spent about an hour and that was with ice cream and the gift shop. She enjoyed petting the goats. There were lemurs hanging out by the viewing window. We had fun looking at them.
Overall, it was a cute zoo. However, come with a backup plan in mind on what to do next. You’ll be done in a short time.

This is a small Zoo ,located in the heart of beautiful Brandywine park, surrounded with forest, river, flowers garden, and lovely landscape.
Great place to take the kids and visit wonderful world of wild animals.
You can also learn about animals habitats from Zoo keepers, and admire smallest deer species in the world,Southern Pudu from Chile ,there are only 200 in the Zoos
around the world and we did see,two of them today.
You can also enjoy shopping in the Zootique or have a treat in
the snack bar.
Take a walk along the beautiful Brandywine river, and visit lovely flowers garden ,or have a picnic in this pleasant park.
Nice journey.

As someone who had never been to Wilmington before, I found the Zoo very difficult to find. I understand that some signage that usually is on I-95 is down because of construction. But there’s almost nothing in the neighborhood to guide you, either.
Once I got there, I enjoyed it. At $7 for adults, it’s very affordable. It does not take long to see it all. In fact, this is probably the smallest accredited zoo I’ve ever seen. I saw everything twice in about 45 minutes. The animals look well cared for, I loved seeing the porcupine and capybara, and the staff was very friendly. Don’t expect to spend a whole day there, but it’s worth a visit.

We loved our visit to the Brandywine zoo! It is situated in such a scenic location by the river - ideal to bring a picnic along. The grounds are clean and beautifully landscaped, the animals are at ease and well taken care of. This is an ideal zoo for little ones as you can move through it in about an hour. I highly recommend this gem!!!

Worst “zoo” experience ever. Do not waste your time. We saw a total of 8 animals and they were all in substandard habitats.
