Animation enthusiasts can mark the dates of the 23rd edition of the Anifilm International Festival. Taking place in Liberec, Czech it opens from Tuesday, May 7 to Sunday 12, 2024.
It is a unique cinematic experience to discover the best-animated films from different corners of the world. The festival will include diverse activities from film screenings, workshops, interviews, and more. This animation encounter is a chance for fans to prepare for more upcoming events. Such as the Karlovy Vary and the Summer Film School events coming in a few weeks.

One of the recent Czech-made films is “The Big Master”. Featuring a puppet cartoon, it has received praise for its first part dubbed “The Little Master”. Visitors can expect this and more excitement from the festival.
For those seeking an alternative to screen options, there will be an exhibition at the North Bohemian Museum to explore. It is titled “Beyond Animation: The Water Puppet in Czech Film.”
