Nothing Left To Fear benefits from a genuinely creepy atmosphere in its first half and from competent acting all round... Unfortunately this isn't enough to overcome the problems that stem from a formulaic plot and a lack of ideas in the second half.

A pastor and his family move to a small country town that is apparently hiding a deadly secret.The first half of this movie I really enjoyed, it starts off introducing the characters, and slowly starts building the tension with a good narrative and interesting visuals, but then it speeds up a little too quickly abandoning the great build up for some jump scares and a story that ends up suffering from too quick a turn. I like the idea of this movie just the last act seems rushed and not in a good way. .

This movie should call "metaphorically Juliette Lewis' bio".If you search on net, this woman was emacipated when she was teenager; started to drink very earliet too....had to take care by herself very earlier.So, why it's special by having Chloë Moretz on board to do that.Because Chloë has the opposite style.She was a child actor just like Juliette, but she still lives with her mom and brothers(dispite she's the "bread breader of the house"_her wors, not mine).What i loved on that road/coming to age movie was tgat Chloë portrayed so genuinely this broken girl tgat you almost believe she _the actor_ would become eventually this "lost girl" that just embrace this teen spirit if "take your littke bag and run from your home".The most amizing thing was she just finished "Hugo" shootings (she started just after the premiere of Kick ass .Both movies were so different from one another that i don't understand why Hick was so trashed by critics (special Roger Herbert).Maybe the "male gaze" society hate this "empowered woman " archetype she portrayed so well as Hit Girl and , now in Hick, she represents it in a more natural way.When Young actors like Brad Pitt and Johnny Deep did it in the 90's nobody complainded (Yep..Gilbert Grape and Kalifirnia, both with Juliette Lewis they portrayed "lost boys") nobody complained.Now..when a young woman does the same...hum...."she's not entiltle to that".Shame on you male world.

Disturbing and horrific movie. I don't understand how anyone can enjoy watching a child suffer real or make believe. The child suffering horrific 2nd degree burns from the demon's grasp, running onto someone's home to seek shelter and being pushed out...that's entertainment? Drugging and luring teenage girls to exploit them for whatever ridiculous supernatural justification, that's entertainment? Art imitates life..well I'm afraid I don't live the life of a satanic serial killer or sicario and this movie...how shall I put it politely..it doesn't speak to me. Specially since I have small children. Slash..Guns N Roses he had a hand in this? I like the song "Civil War"...but hey this movie...nuff said
