Maurice Denham stars as Hercule Poirot in Agatha Christie’s crime thriller.

First published in 1928, The Mystery Of The Blue Train is based on The Plymouth Express, one of Christie’s short stories from 1923.

The plot centres around The Heart Of Fire, a legendary jewel which once adorned the crown of the Tsars. But legend states that the stunning ruby brings death in its wake, so the American millionaire Rufus Van Aldin may live to regret his purchase.

The eponymous, and glamorous, Blue Train ferries the rich and the famous to their Riviera playground. But the outlook looks far from sunny for one passenger...

In addition to Maurice Denham (The Day Of The Jackal) this production also features Janet Maw, Robert Beatty, Avril Clarke, Anthony Smee, Michael Deacon, Gwen Cherrell, Moir Leslie. Judy Buxton, Peter Woodthorpe, John Harrison, Tessa Worsley, Jane Leonard, Garard Green and Ronald Herdman.
