Sigue el rito romano o latino y esta bajo la jurisdicción del vicariato apostólico de Alejandría de Egipto. Es concatedral desde el año 2008. En el 2014 miembros de diversas denominaciones cristianas se reunieron en el lugar para rezar por el futuro del país tras los hechos ocurridos por la primavera árabe. (es)
- Our Lady of Heliopolis Co-Cathedral, also known as the Latin Cathedral of Our Lady of Heliopolis, or the Basilica of the Holy Virgin, is a Roman Catholic church building, located on Al-Ahram Square in the Heliopolis neighbourhood of Cairo, Egypt. Alexandre Marcel designed the cathedral in a Byzantine Revival style, based on the Hagia Sophia. It was completed in 1913. A crypt within the cathedral houses the remains of its financer, Édouard Empain, and his family. A co-cathedral since 2008, it follows the Roman Rite under the jurisdiction of the Apostolic Vicariate of Alexandria of Egypt (Vicariatus Apostolicus Alexandrinus). In 2014 members of various Christian denominations gathered at the site to pray for the country's future after the events in the Arab spring. (en)
- La co-cathédrale Notre-Dame d'Héliopolis ou cathédrale latine de Notre-Dame d'Héliopolis, la basilique (appellation locale) est un édifice religieux appartenant à l'Église catholique romaine située sur la place El-Ahram, dans le quartier d'Héliopolis au Caire, Égypte. Suivant le rite latin, elle est sous la juridiction du vicariat apostolique d'Alexandrie d'Égypte (Vicariatus Apostolicus Alexandrinus). La basilique a été construite de 1911 à 1913 sur les plans d'Alexandre Marcel, et sur les indications du baron Empain qui voulait une église byzantine. L'église a donc la forme d'une croix grecque, et est surmontée de coupoles qui veulent évoquer Sainte-Sophie à Istanbul. Après la mort du baron Empain en 1929, sa dépouille y fut transportée, il est inhumé dans la crypte. En 2014, des membres de diverses confessions chrétiennes se sont réunis pour prier pour l'avenir du pays après les événements du printemps arabe.
