Brief History

Councilor Dorothy Delarmente–Bagting is the first physician elected in public office in the Quezon City Local Government.  She began her political career at 28 years old, and successfully performed her duties and responsibilities as a City Councilor for 4 terms. Despite being one of the youngest and one of the few female members in a male-dominated City Council, she was considered to be one of the best in her field, especially when it comes to debates and passing significant ordinances.

She is a multi-awarded City Councilor, having received accolades because of her numerous community programs and projects, as well as her well-thought-of ordinances that are geared toward the growth of the Quezon City community and the improvement of the quality of life of its constituency, most especially the poor.
