Academy Award nominee Liam Neeson will star in the upcoming action-thriller Hotel Tehran. The veteran actor joins the previously announced Zachary Levi for the Guy Moshe-directed film.

According to Variety, Hotel Tehran will begin production this summer, with the rest of the action thriller's ensemble cast to be announced over the coming weeks. Director Moshe, who helmed the action thriller Bunraku starring Josh Hartnett and the drama film Holly with Ron Livingston, penned the script for the upcoming feature with Mark Bacci (Prisoner's Daughter), based on an original idea by Bazzel Baz (The Blacklist), a former CIA Intelligence Special Operations Group Officer. The director expressed his delight at Neeson's involvement in the upcoming project. "I'm thrilled to welcome Liam Neeson to Hotel Tehran," he said.

Moshe continued, "He is a true thespian and an icon in our industry. The character he plays, Larry, is complex, irreverent, and inspired by real people. I know his fans around the world will relish seeing him inhabit this distinct role, and I can't wait to be there to capture it." Neeson has an extensive resume of credits, which includes hard-hitting dramas like the acclaimed Schindler's List and Kinsey. He has also featured in actioners such as Taken, Non-stop, and Grey. Neeson has appeared in iconic franchise films, including the Star Wars prequels and Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins. Neeson will next appear in the 2025 The Naked Gun reboot.

Rocket Science, Oakhurst Entertainment, Astral Future, and Dreamtime Films will handle the global distribution of Hotel Tehran. Moshe, Astral Future's Matthew G. Zamias, Oakhurst's Marina Grasic, and Dreamtime Films' Wendy Sweetmore will produce the film. Executive producers include Baz, Astral Future's Harel Kodesh, Justin C. Oberman, and Arbel Kodesh.

Pamela Anderson Joins Liam Neeson in Naked Gun

Pamela Anderson recently joined The Naked Gun reboot in a yet-to-be-specified role. Anderson has appeared in films such as Barb Wire, Scooby-Doo, Scary Movie 3, Borat, Superhero Movie, Blonde and Blonder, and 2017's Baywatch film starring Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, and Priyanka Chopra.

Neeson will star as Frank Drebin in The Naked Gun, formerly portrayed by the iconic Leslie Nielsen. Akiva Shaffer will helm the movie after co-writing the script with Dan Gregor and Doug Mand. Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins are producing, while Daniel M. Stillman is executive producing.

Hotel Tehran has yet to schedule a release date but will begin production this summer.
