Unique culture, beauty, history and a lot of fun!!!
Setas is a very popular place in the old town of Seville with many delicious cafes and restaurants. In the evenings, magic begins there - this grandiose mushroom begins to be illuminated with different lights to the beat of the sounding music. You can climb on it and enjoy many free performances by artists of various genres. In addition, there is a real flamenco center very close, do not miss this chance! Setas is cool, beautiful and fun!👍🤩❤️

Amazing structure - visit at night the light show
The largest wooden structure in the world, our receptionist told us that this wasn't popular when it was first built but is now a loved meeting spot for locals. as it is surrounded by cafes and restaurants. We decided to visit at night when it is illuminated in changing colours with ambient music - it is quite the experience to walk along the walkways and see the city lit up all around you. We also visited the are during the day but didn't go up it. It is more expensive to visit at night but I think it's worth the cost. Definitely something unique and not to be missed during your stay.

Spectacular lightshow at night and great views during day - 2 visits included
Loved this structure and experience. The ticket allows a second return visit within 48 hours, so you can visit during day and return for the Aurora, the nighttime lightshow. I loved both experiences. There are great views all over Seville from the top and the walkway snakes up and down around the structure, which apparently is the largest wooden structure in the world (although it has a steel frame). It wasn't busy during the day when we went. There is also a film about Seville to watch before or after the walk, quite dramatic in places. Although it is high, the walkways are placed on the structure with no dramatic drops when you look over. My husband isn't a fan of heights but managed this ok. The view from underneath the structure is equally impressive. I would recommend going up the stairways/escalators to the area immediately underneath. It is lovely and shady with lots of seating which the locals obviously love, plus different angles of the amazing structure. We then returned in the evening for the sunset and light show and that was very popular. The sunset wasn't the most spectacular but the light show was, with all the coloured lights changing and lighting up different angles of the wood. They take a photo of your party near the start which you can buy for 10 euros at the end. Again we went to the area underneath it afterwards as that's just as spectacular and had a nice buzz about it. Underneath the whole structure is a market and a museum with the remains of a Roman town. This is not included but if you have tickets to the Alcazar you can get in free. It was a nice place to escape the heat. There are lots of restaurants/bars all around this area and the main shopping area is also very close.
Hello, thank you very much for your visit. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the views from the lookout twice, once in the morning and once at night with the light show. We hope to see you again on another occasion, best regards!

    WOW!
For amazing views of Seville, visit the Metropol Parasol observation deck and walkway. Built from 2005 to 2011, Las Setas (The Mushrooms) is so called because the shape resembles six large mushrooms. There are skywalks circling around gastro bars and the first floor has an open air plaza where entertainers often perform. There is a market on the ground floor with an Antiquarium museum in the basement area with an archaeological site showing ruins of ancient Roman, Visigoth and Moorish eras. A fascinating place, offering something for all ages - definitely worth a visit.
Hi, Thank you very much for the review. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the atmosphere and the monument. Thank you for recommending the visit. best regards!

    Disappointing this time around
Third time in Seville and decided to visit Las Setas to fill a morning. It was worth the visit. Great views from the top. However, it would still be quite far down my to do list. Roman ruins underneath were disappointing compared to previous visit. There were leaks from pipes with buckets scattered around and information dispels were not working.
Good afternoon, Thank you very much for your visit. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the view from the 360º viewpoint. We hope to see you again on another occasion, best regards!

    Something different
€15 per adult. Ticket gives you 48hour access, so can come back at different times. Cool to see something other than churches, however rather expensive. Worth coming back in evening for night show and seeing it from the top. Light show is underwhelming from the bottom

    Great 369degree view of Seville
Went at 8 pm, fabulous views of the city. Didn't really need to book. Lovely views all around the city with the evening sun just setting. Short film to introduce Seville to view before or afterwards. Well worth the visit. Incredible construction and well explained on staircase down as you leave.
Hello, thank you very much for your visit. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the amazing sunset views and the Feeling experience. We look forward to seeing you again another time, best regards!

Colorful and unique experience with good city views.
We came a bit before sunset which gives a good view of the city before dark, and the sunset view is nice. Enjoyed the 180 degree Omni screen with movie of city highlights. After the sun goes down one can see various churches and sites lit up and the changing colors of the structure are beautiful.

    A must- see
So pleased we visited this. We went once during the day and again for the illuminations at night. Two very different experiences and I suggest you do them both. In the day there was no queue but at night we queued (even though we had our ticket- make sure you don’t queue in the one for tickets if you’re on your return visit). The ticket is valid for 2 days and you get one day and one night visit. You don’t appreciate the light show from below. You have to see it from the top. We found the audio visual film about Seville wonderful. It’s included in the ticket so don’t miss it.
Hello, thank you very much for your visit. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed both visits and that you liked them both, especially the light show from the 360º viewpoint. We hope to see you again soon, best regards!

    A lovely experience at sunset.
This was a lovely thing to do & I recommend you book a slot just before sunset so you can see Seville before & after. The film is also very good. However, I would NOT recommend buying their photo, as we were given a code for a digital copy that didn’t work & despite several attempts to resolve it, they were quite disinterested in helping us. An expensive error on our part.
Hello, thank you very much for your visit. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the sunset from the 360º viewpoint and the Feeling experience. Thank you for recommending everything. We look forward to seeing you again, best regards!

Interesting enough structures for 5 minutes but relatively underwhelming. Apparently €50 m budget went out the window when the architects admitted that the building materials available had none of the properties that were required, and in the end it cost twice as much as promised. What a bazinga! If you’re in Seville for more than a day you’ll probably find yourself wandering this way, and if they’re within a couple of minutes by all means go to see them. Better spend your time at alcazar and Cathedral, or even carefully planning an (admittedly full-on) day trip to Granada to see the Alhambra

If you’re looking for views over Seville, the Space Metropol Parasol, or “the Mushroom” at La Encarnación square is surely the place to go. It opened a few years ago and it’s one of Seville’s newest and coolest things to see. We planned to take a stroll around the upper levels to get a totally unique perspective over the city as well as a view of some of Seville’s best architecture. For 3 Euro per person you get to ride an elevator to the top saving time and your legs. The “Mushroom” is a bit controversial due to its unique abstract architecture in the middle of this historic area. I would venture to guess that this was commissioned to be built to save this area from commercial buildings. In fact at the level beneath the street we paid 2 Euro to tour the underground Roman ruins which surely benefitted from the protection of the Mushroom above. Regardless of why it is here, I am glad we went. I loved the honeycomb architecture and the circuitous walk on top where I could photograph many aspects of yet another area of Seville.

I had researched places to go over Christmas before visiting Seville in January and the entry fee for this attraction was 3 euros - this had risen to 5 euros in the new year shich is quite a large increase! However, the views from the walkway at the top are worth seeing and there is a lift to the top. We sat and enjoyed a drink at the cafe before descending. It wasn't very busy when we were there but it may well be crowded at sunset in the summer months. Worth a visit if in the area.

We booked online in advance for the 8pm light show which was 10 Euros each, there is a queue for tickets on the door so worth booking ahead and you can just scan your tickets and head straight in. It would have been nice if a family ticket or child discounts were available online but we could only find family tickets for the more expensive package to include the “finding Seville” movie which we didn’t want to do.
We arrived a bit early just as the sun was setting and got to enjoy the spectacular views over the city with the floodlit cathedral and all the churches of the city lit up. The light show starts at 8pm and seems to run continuously through the evening rather than being a timed event, it was very beautiful and relaxing. We spent just over an hour there and all the family including our teenagers really enjoyed it.

Hello, thank you for your comment. We are pleased that you enjoyed our Aurora experience and the views from our viewing platform. As you say, our light show runs continuosly until closing time. Occasionally, we use our light show to support or commemorata special times of the year. We hope to see you soon. Regards, Setas de Sevilla.

Biggest wooden structure in the world. With a 5€ ticket you can climb it - well be lifted up- to the top where gher is a 2 level circular walkway with city views. Evenings are busy although sunset is best.
If you want to avoid queues go in the morning. In the same place there is an antiquarium in the basement with roman ruins, and at street level market and children activities. You get a free postcard in the shop for every ticket purchased. 30/45 minutes time for enjoying it (not counting queueing).

From ground level this structure which opened in 2011 doesn’t look that significant but from above you realise just how it dominates the old city landscape (this is the district centre point). Hard to believe it’s also the largest wooden structure in the world (even though the panels look metal!). Entrance is 5 euros per adult and views from the walkways over the city and beyond are really worth the price in my opinion - you also get a free gift (postcard) from the gift shop with every ticket! There’s a cafe on the walkway level and an archeological museum on the ground floor (separate entrance fee of just over 2 euros).

We were intrigued by the architecture of 'Las Setas," and by a TV show that recommended we visit this attraction. However, be warned it will cost you 5 euro for an underwhelming view of the city. We found the queue to enter Las Setas down in the gloomy basement. There were no signs indicating the price. When we finally arrived at the front of the queue, we discovered the price. We went ahead and paid, despite our better judgment. If the price had been posted visibly, we would have avoided this tourist trap. Ride the crowded elevator to the top and see some fairly interesting architecture. The walk atop this structure will take about 10 minutes.

Good afternoon, first of all thank you very much for your comment. The entrance price to Mirador is published on our page and all our official sites, you can also find it at the autovending machine and at the ticket office, where you can also find an easy way out for all those who do not want to access. The entrance has no time limit, you can spend as much time as you want in our building. We are sorry you have had to wait the queues, there are many people who enjoy the visit, once more, we are sorry you didn't. Thank you very much

The architecture is quite impressive from a distance. Make sure you go up to the viewpoint. It costs 5 euros per person and in case you live in the city it's free. I .not sure about other EU nationalities. You'd better ask. The view from the top is amazing. You get to appreciate the magnificence of the building/monument + you get a 360 degree view of Seville

We visited in early January. We checked out the market on the ground floor first. Nothing special, typical market with butchers, seafood, and veggies. We then went downstairs to get up top. There was a line but it went quickly. The price seems to have increased for the new year, we paid 5 Euros each for entry but it did include a free post card from the gift shop. Once on top the views are amazing. It was a clear day and we were able to see for miles. You are able to walk all the way around for a panoramic view of the city. There is also a small cafe however, we did not partake so we can not comment on it. Definitely a must do when in Seville.

This huge wooden attraction in the middle of Seville is another quirky must see. The largest wooden structure in Europe. For 3 € you can walk on top for panoramic views of the city. Underneath is a Spanish food market with small food outlets. There are many bars and restaurants to take a drink and admire the Parasol in the Spanish sunshine ☀️
