What travellers are saying
- Kchaney16412Plymouth, IN14 contributionsThis was a super cute, quaint stop on our way to North Shore! It was neat that the farm offered paths through the coffee farm. The coffee shop was outstanding and the service was great! They offered a variety of drinks: hot/cold, iced, smoothies, sweets...it was so delicious. I got a cold brew, my oldest got a strawberry banana smoothie, and my youngest got a cappuccino freeze. Great stop!Written March 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Nancy B3 contributionsThese gardens are beautiful and worth the trip! The trees are well marked. There are several terraces that can be accessed by anyone, as well as a couple that requires steps. There are peaceful places just to sit and take it all in.Written April 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ShainaJayyyHonolulu, HI1 contributionHad a great time celebrating a family member’s birthday. The view was beautiful. The performers were amazing. Loved that it was family oriented. Really appreciated the special dedication to the veterans/military members in the audience. They also invited audience members who were celebrating an anniversary up to the stage to dance while the host sang a beautiful song. It was drizzling a bit towards the end but it definitely didn’t dampen the mood of the event. Will definitely recommend this luau and would come back and take other relatives visiting the island!Written May 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cheryl BSurrey, Canada19 contributionsNice place and to me, worth a visit. It was amazing to see pineapples growing (not at all what I expected). Their gardens were nicer than some of the actual formal gardens we visited on our trip. The Dole whip ice cream was really good. The train ride and history nice as well. On a negative note, of all the places we visited throughout the islands, we found the staff here some of the unfriendliest and unhappiest looking. The prices were also the highest we saw anywhere.Written May 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Katie McFreemanTampa, FL94 contributionsMy husband and I came to Oahu for our honeymoon. He lived here before but left 9 years ago. He explained that you use to be able to walk up to the stones and that there was a lot of powerful energy believed to be in the area.
I know it sounds silly, but I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and suffer from infertility. My husband and I have been praying for a baby and I got it in my head that if I could pray by the stones, it would somehow help. Silly, I know. But my heart was drawn there for that reason. Oh well. :/Written July 15, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There is a sign posted outside the main museum entrance, but it is not mentioned on their website. I have attached a photo of it here.
Also, Google Maps may direct you through another base gate entrance, but ALL civilian visitors must go through Lyman Gate to get a temporary base pass first. Expect to wait at least 20 minutes for the traffic delay, vehicle inspection, and a computer security check of your ID. Have your driver's license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance ready, to speed the process up. Active duty and retired military are exempt from this.
I recommend you phone the museum BEFORE you visit, to ensure it is open that day. If no one answers the phone, they are not open then.Written October 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We used the bamboo pole with a barbless hook and the bait they provided us.
We didn't know what to expect when we arrived ,but the reviews were great. I figure if it was half as good as the reviews said, it would be a fun adventure with a lot of action for Andie .
IT WAS AMAZING!! The fish started biting within seconds of placing the bait in the water. It took a little bit to figure out how to catch and bring in the fish for Andie. But then she caught a ton of fish . Little ones at first but then started catching some really large fish.
What a wonderful way to introduce a child to fishing. You can get the fish clean and cook there also.

- ITRTVirginia44,690 contributionsThe Healing Stone of Wahiawa shrine can be found on California Avenue in Wahiawa. Ancient Hawaiians believe the stone has sacred healing properties. For several decades, this stone has been used by Hindus who believe the stone is the epitome of the god Shiva. Many Hawaiians would like to see the stone moved back to its original location at the birthing stones. The Kukaniloko Birthstone Monument is now “off limits” to everyone. Hawaiians believed the lava rock stones had the power to ease the pangs of giving birth. Like all sacred sites in Hawaii, people bring flower leis and fresh flowers. Some people place buckets outside to capture the night rain which they believe is needed for the healing stones to work.Written May 12, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LuLu_n_SCMurrells Inlet, SC9 contributionsWe went here to sample some Hawaiian meads. They did not disappoint!! It was tricky finding the location - our Uber/Lyft driver took a wrong turn - but it was so worth the slight misadventure!! The staff were very informative and helpful. The meads were very good.Written October 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
