Who is Anthony Walters?

American former child actor Anthony Walters was born in the USA in 1978, and although his exact birthdate hasn’t been revealed, it’s believed that his zodiac sign’s Taurus. He appeared in four movies and a single TV series prior to retiring from acting in 1995, but returned in 2010 for another TV series role – Anthony’s probably still best known for his portrayal of Dietrich’s Son in the 1992 romantic thriller movie “Shinning Through”, written and directed by David Seltzer, and which starred Michael Douglas, Melanie Griffith and Liam Neeson. It follows an American woman working undercover in Germany during Second World War; the film won five of its seven award nominations.

Education and early life

Anthony’s parents raised him in California, but not a lot about them is known, because he respects their privacy; it’s believed that his mother was an off-Broadway actress, and that his father was a doctor. Anthony hasn’t shared whether or not he has any siblings.

He was only six years old when his acting career was launched, and he was cast to play Tiny Tim in the 1984 family fantasy movie “A Christmas Carol”, directed by Clive Donner, and which starred Angela Pleasence, Frank Finlay and George C. Scott. It follows an old man as he’s being visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve; the film was nominated for two awards.

Anthony then took an eight-year break from acting to focus on his education. He enrolled at a local high school in 1992, and was mostly into playing sports during his four years there, excelling in soccer.

In 1992, Anthony played a supporting character in the short drama movie “The Big Fish”, and then in 1994, he portrayed Alfred Gordon in the family adventure drama “Black Beauty”, written and directed by Caroline Thompson, and which starred Sean Bean, David Thewlis and Docs Keepin Time. It tells the story of the horse Black Beauty, as well as several others and their owners;  the film won one of its two award nominations.

In 1995, he played Stephen in an episode of the romantic drama mini-series “The Glass”, which starred Jan Graveson, Christine Kavanagh and Brendan Coyle, and follows Annabella Lagrange who comes from a wealthy family, but who runs away from home after learning her parents’ terrible secret.

Anthony returned for one final role in 2010, when invited to play Jacko in the episode “Ed” of the drama series “Doctors”; it today stars Adrian Lewis Morgan, Jan Pearson and Matthew Chambers, and follows the people working at a medical practice in Birmingham. The series has been airing since 2000, and has won 17 of its 111 award nominations.

Career after acting

Anthony began working as a production co-ordinator at VPUK in London, England upon retiring from acting, and in 2004 worked on the romantic comedy movie “Ball & Chain”.

He then became a representative at Goldcrest Pictures Limited, and in 2008 worked on the critically acclaimed action war comedy film “Tropic Thunder”, as well as on the hit action mystery thriller “Eagle Eye”, which D. J. Caruso directed, and which starred Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan and Rosario Dawson. It follows Jerry and Rachel who’ve been contacted by a mysterious woman, and who’s threatening to harm their families unless they do as she commands; the movie won three of its 11 award nominations.

Anthony could then have been seen working on the romantic comedy film “Sex Drive”, the romantic fantasy film “Twilight”, and the romantic movie “Revolutionary Road”, all released in 2008.

In 2009, he worked on the critically acclaimed fantasy horror movie “The Uninvited”, directed by Charles Guard and Thomas Guard, and which starred Emily Browning, Arielle Kebbel and Elizabeth Banks. It follows Anna who’s just returned from a mental hospital, and is having visions of her deceased mother; the movie was nominated for two awards.

Anthony also worked on the action science fiction mystery movie “Knowing” and the family comedy film “Imagine That”, both released in 2009, but then disappeared from the film industry – it remains unknown what he’s doing for a living today.

Love life and wife

Anthony’s been staying away from media since his disappearance in 2009, but there are today various rumors circulating the internet, most of which concern his love life.

Most of his fans believe that he’s today a married man, and that he and his non-celebrity American wife wed in either 2010 or 2011; some have even claimed to have seen Anthony walking he streets of Los Angeles, California together with his wife and their daughter, but this remains unconfirmed.

There are also those who believe that he’s gay, and that this is why he avoided talking about his love life, even while still active in the film industry, but Anthony hasn’t addressed this either.

Anthony was physically quite active during his teenage years, playing various sports with his friends and eventually working out at the gym; some of his fans have claimed to have seen him recently, working out at a gym in Los Angeles, but this hasn’t been confirmed.
