Food was really bad. We all got salads and I could’ve made a way tastier, more thoughtful version of a beet salad with chicken and arugula. Just super subpar.

We were there for their Easter Brunch. It was fabulous. It was a set menu, but you had choices. The day was sunny, the view spectacular. Good outstanding.

The drinks and food were delicious. Two of us got fish tacos, one got chicken tacos and one got the pork chop. We shared fries, side salad and bread pudding ala mode. Service was good and the atmosphere was pretty chill and not too loud.

The food was amazing! Very dog friendly. Quiet atmosphere, love the decor. We had the hanger steak and it was the best steak I have ever had. We literally talked about it the rest of our trip. I love coming to this place when taking road trips or staying at the hotel. Would definitely return and hope to soon!

Service and atmosphere are great. The food (hanger steak and shrimp and grits) were okay at best…not bad but not great, just average. The kicker is we ordered some bread. It came with a “fancy” butter. We asked for some regular butter and got charged for four tiny butter cubes!! I may go back but probably only if it’s convenient

What a surprisingly good restaurant. So chill and the food was wonderful. The Mighty Cap Mushrooms are a must and so was the scallops. The pork chops were moist and elevated by the sweet potato puree. The cocktails were excellent. But the best part was the outstanding and warm service by Sylvia, our server. It was a perfect evening.

Norman at the Skyview was a very pleasant experience. I booked a reservation for this restaurant for me and my fiance's anniversary and it was perfect. Service The waitress/hostess Sylvia was lovely and was very considerate and gave us our space when we were in mid conversation to not interrupt and then came back to us in between conversations. Very good attention to detail! Transportation It was a bit confusing where to go at first because it was quite dark and there are two hills to go up. Initially we drove up the first hill on the left but there is no parking there. If you go down and go up the other hill it is for hotel guests only but there is a sign where they provide a phone number to call for a ride up the hill and you just park in the spaces at the bottom of the hill. We got picked up in this cute little old fashioned car? golf cart? Very friendly driver and brought us right up to the restaurant. Food and drink The food and drinks were good! The prices were also very reasonable. Ambience The ambience for this place was unmatched. They played nice soft music, the design of the interior was very modern and chic, and the restaurant was small and cozy. Surprisingly not very busy for a Sunday night! All in all, we really enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back if in the area again. Also the rooms at the "motel" look nice so maybe we will come back and stay here!

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience at Norman. Felt very understaffed and the food was not what we remembered it to be. Maybe it was just an off night.

The pear and beet salad needed a better dressing, too bland. The salad prices were standard. The protein added prices made the overall price unreasonable and lessoned the value. The avocado toast "main" was misnomered. It was no more than appetizer sized. Ambiance and service provided a pleasant afternoon.

Love this place due to the location & ambience, it feels like you’re in Palm Springs or old Hollywood. Very unique decor. Food is good, limited menu but they do what they do well. The servers and bartenders are excellent! Drinks are fantastic!

Norman is a cool, hip place. We were there for restaurant week and liked the atmosphere, even on an empty Sunday night. But the main dishes we had were both very very bland. The shrimp and grits — shrimp was seasoned well and cooked nicely, but the grits were lukewarm and completely lacking flavor. It was like eating baby food. The polenta cakes were hard and also totally bland. The beet hummus with crostini was surprisingly tasty, and the soup wasn’t half bad. The chocolate torte dessert was pretty tasty. But the main dishes kind of wrecked the meal. It may be a cool place to hang out, but the chef really needs to improve on the flavor profiles - at least of the dishes we sampled.

Norman is an interesting place. It is obvious there were big bucks spent to renovate a few years ago. The retro look is fun. One group of diners was very energetic, but the acoustics allowed their loud noises to permeate the whole restaurant--to a point of disruption and annoyance. The food was delicious--but very SLOW to come out--and apparently not enough was ordered in anticipation of Restaurant Week, and we saw potential diners leave since the entrees they had come to enjoy were not available as advertised. Sad.

Food amazing! Service relaxed, a bit on the slow side. It was drafty and a little cool. The decorative ambience is really quite lovely. There was a group of four young ladies in the corner who were rudely loud, I don’t know what you do about that but it did create a harsh noise level. Would definitely go back again

It's a great location. Great views. The drinks were fantastic, but the food options were low, and I wasn't particularly excited about the burger. At lunch there are minimal options for main dishes. It mostly consists of salads. If they wanted to have lunch patrons buy more while purchasing drinks I would suggest more carb based foods. I know they are going through management changes, so at the moment this is all understandable.

Disappointed. Shrimp n grits was awful. Box grits no sauce. Shrimp no Cajun seasoning. One of the worst dishes. Thankfully it was removed from our bill. Hanger steak ordered medium rare arrived well done Sent back and arrived 30-45 minutes later. No kids menu so 23 per burger and 10 per Shirley temple. Ordered desserts. Out of VANILLA ice dream. And cookie special featured a raw cookie floating in melting ice cream. And it took over 2 hrs Won’t be back for dinner.

We went on our anniversary. Even though we marked that special occasion on our reservation, there was no acknowledgment. The portions were very small!, chicken was good but about the size of a golf ball with one small carrot cut into strips and a few raw brussel sprouts for $32! I ordered a side salad which was fair. No bread so we went away hungry after spending over $100. If i had known, i would have also ordered french fries just to fill me up. When we left, we inquired how to get the “moke” to take us back to our car, the manager thought we were just arriving and when we said, no, we had already had dinner and were leaving, he said, “did you pay your bill?” Of course we did!! Not impressed.

We came for a special occasion and no mention or congratulation were ever given. No kids menu and it’s Christmas so of course families would be present with young ones. Waters were never refilled or offered. The food was mediocre we had the salmon for first course and it wasn’t very appetizing. Second course we ordered quail which was delicious and my wife ordered the pork tenderloin which was fine. Third course desserts were nothing special. Drinks however were delicious I ordered an old fashioned which was a proper old fashioned and the rum butter which was amazing. Server Joaquin was good but the rest of the staff definitely needs some polishing and refinement.

Not sure if the chef try to introduce a new cuisine… the portions are extremely small for the price! Your pear and beet salad arrive on a dish and the salad is covering 1/2 half of the plate. 4 bites and you’re done ! The chicken is tasty but extremely dry and the Brussels sprouts are not cooked at all. Overall nothing to make you satisfied and say: what an experience, I really want to come back again !!!

Had a great business dinner here the other night. It was a Wednesday night and the restaurant was pretty empty which was nice and relaxing after a long day. I was really impressed by the food, and great selection of wines. I got the burrata salad which was delicious. I Will definitely be coming back soon! Oh and do the dessert. Totally worth it I got the cookie in the skillet with a scoop of caramel ice cream on top, I usually NEVER order dessert it was so good!
