Krishikosh is a digital repository (https://krishikosh.egranth.ac.in/) which captures, preserves, archives and provides policy based access to the intellectual output of Indian National Agricultural Research and Education System (NARES). It is a unique repository of knowledge in agriculture and allied sciences, having collection of  thesis, old and valuable books,  institutional publications,  technical bulletins,  project reports,  lectures,  preprints, reprints, records and various documents spread all over the country in different libraries of Research Institutions and State Agricultural Universities (SAUs). A customized digital repository platform for users of NARES Institutions, where they can upload and manage their own contents for compliance to open access policy of ICAR.

Data Center

The Data Centre at Indian Agricultural Research Institute has been established with the objective to enhance next generation interdisciplinary research and teaching activities. The data Centre is equipped with state-of-the-art fire safety features and precision air conditioners. The infrastructure has two UPS on load sharing and high availability mode backed up by a DG Set. At preset the Data Centre is hosting most of the in-house developed applications, IARI website, Intranet website, micro websites, IARI’s mail server, DNS servers, Krishikosh repository servers, Network Services for IARI connectivity etc.

AI based Prediction Models

Development of weather & Satellite (agro-met products) based forecast models (statistical / machine learning technique), database designing and web based system for crop yield and  pests & diseases in target crops. Prediction of future scenarios of key pests of target crops for their distribution and abundance. Image Analysis for identification of pests and diseases based on CNN (Convolution Neural Network) with different activation function are being developed. The developed forecast models were converted into web based system.

ASRB Online Examination Centre

ASRB Online Examination Centre at IARI has being established under the sub project “Developing, commissioning, operating and managing an online system for NET/ARS Preliminary Examination in ASRB, ICAR” of National Agricultural Innovation Project (NAIP) funded by World Bank. Under this project, a network of 23 Examinations Centre at various ICAR institutes and Data Centre at ASRB, New Delhi has been established to conduct National Eligibility Test (NET) and Agricultural Research Service (ARS) preliminary examinations in various disciplines of agriculture science. ICAR-IARI, New Delhi is one of the finest Online Examinations Centre with a capacity of 120 students to appear at a time for examination. This Centre is fully air-conditioned well equipped with 120 desktops along-with its latest accessories, uninterrupted power supply (power backup from one 20 KVS UPS & one Generator), Two LED screens etc. The Centre also has CCTV surveillance system (6 IP PTZ dome camera and four IP based IR dome camera).

Network Centre

Network Centre at IARI was constituted in the year 1995 with multimode fiber option connected in star topology to the main divisions for around 150 users of the IARI. With the growing demand and number of users the technology and infrastructure has been in many phases of development to meet the latest technology. Uptime plays a major role in the services of network facilities to the users. From downtime of 2 years (at agronomy) in the year 2003 to uptime of 99.99% in the year 2020, everyone at Network Centre, IARI has worked hard in the journey of improvement.
