After an on-again off-again romance, Tinsley Mortimer and Scott Kluth are engaged. Multiple outlets are reporting that Kluth proposed to the Real Housewives of New York star on Sunday in Chicago, as Christmas carolers sang at the base of the famous Chicago Water Tower.

A source told Page Six how it all went down. "Scott’s apartment is close to where the carolers were," the source said. "They were walking to dinner and they saw these carolers, and they broke into Christina Perri’s 'A Thousand Years,' which is their song. It took Tinsley a few seconds to figure out what was going on, but then Scott got down on one knee. He’d organized the whole thing with the carolers in advance." The source added that Mortimer "was totally surprised."

Fans can watch the special moment for themselves in a video obtained by E! News. The publication also quotes a source saying that Mortimer "been in Chicago with Scott," and that she may well move to the city permanently, now that they're engaged.

This happy ending comes after a long, sometimes tumultuous relationship, some of which played out onscreen for fans of RHONY. They originally met during the show's ninth season, after being introduced by fellow RHONY star Carole Radziwill. They recently parted ways again during the show's 11th run, but Mortimer confirmed that they'd reunited at BravoCon earlier this month. "I’m more excited than anybody is, but I’m just so happy," she said.
