Shelby Lynns Cake Shoppe

We sat down and designed our cake almost a year in advance. I hand drew the design I wanted for my three tear cake. We paid in full in advance for a bride’s cake and a groom’s cake. I was looking forward to seeing the cakes more than anything thing but when I saw them I was horrified!! They were nothing like I ask for.



The bride’s cake was supposed to be covered in fondant because I am allergic to red food coloring and 2 of the three tiers had red designs on them. Instead what we got was a cake that was frosted in butter cream then spray painted the base color of the tear. I couldn't even eat 2/3 of my own wedding cake!! I was so disappointed! Almost to tears in fact. If that wasn't bad enough, the frosting was done horribly! There were whisk marks all through it and it wasn’t flat at all. The fondant designs on the side where half falling off and were so sloppy. It looked like they had been done that morning in a rush.



The groom’s cake was an xbox 360 but it looked more like a perfectly square box with a half moon cut out of it! There was a picture in her idea book looked like the real thing but what we got looked like it came from the local Kroger! It broke my heart!



I gave her two stars because the cake was delivered on time and it tasted wonderful, so if you don't need a cake to look good but taste good, go with Shelby Lynn’s.

I stopped by hoping to get a cake on a whim, they had a nice selection of cakes and cookies to choose from. Very nice customer service, I placed an order a few weeks later for my daughter's birthday over the phone, again they were very nice and the cake was better than I had expected and delicious too. I will be recommending them to everyone I know!
