Tim Allen doesn’t just play Father Christmas, he’s a dad in real life, too.

The Santa Clauses actor has two daughters: Katherine Allen, whom he shares with his ex-wife Laura Deibel, and Elizabeth Allen-Dick, whom he shares with his wife Jane Hajduk.

Through the years, his daughters have supported him at his premieres, including The Santa Clause 3 and Toy Story 4. Recently, Allen has shared the screen with his youngest Elizabeth on Disney+’s The Santa Clauses

Speaking with PEOPLE in October 2022 ahead of the show's first season, Allen said he gave his daughter some important advice as she took on her first acting role.

"The advice I gave to my daughter Elizabeth is that the writers, producers and crew have the most important roles on a production," he recalled. "Being an actor is a wonderful craft but we are just a part of a teamwork experience."

Ahead, here’s everything to know about Allen’s daughters.

Allen welcomed his first daughter, Katherine, in December 1989 with then-wife Laura Deibel. The couple eventually separated in 1999 and finalized their divorce in 2003. He later remarried Jane Hajduk in October 2006 during an intimate, outdoor ceremony in Grand Lake, Colo., with Katherine in attendance.

Though Katherine doesn't have a public-facing job, she has supported his dad at his events through the years. In November 2004, she proudly stood by his side as he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Two years later, Katherine attended the premiere of The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause with Allen and his wife Hajduk.

In June 2019, Allen brought his blended family together as he attended the premiere of Toy Story 4 alongside his wife and daughters, Katherine and Elizabeth. The group posed on the red carpet alongside Allen’s character Buzz Lightyear and other Toy Story characters.

After tying the knot with Hajduk in 2006, the couple welcomed their daughter, Elizabeth, in March 2009.

Following Elizabeth’s birth, Allen spoke with PEOPLE about being a father again, noting he wasn’t as “worried as [he] was the first time.” He added that his older daughter Katherine was there for the delivery, which he called a “marvelous experience.”

“Her sister was there and a couple of her friends ... I was the first one that got to look at [Elizabeth],” he said at the time.

In recent years, Elizabeth has followed in her father’s acting footsteps with her debut role on Disney+’s The Santa Clauses. In the hit series, which first premiered in 2022 and returns for season 2 in November 2023, Elizabeth plays the onscreen daughter of Allen’s Santa Claus.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Allen revealed that his daughter originally auditioned for a small role as an elf, but ended up getting a more prominent role after blowing everyone away with her audition.

"She ended up reading the dialogue so well that the kid got the lead in it as Santa's daughter," Allen told host. "It was the most amazing occurrence."

Speaking with PEOPLE in October 2022, Allen talked about working alongside his daughter, revealing the important advice he gave her ahead of her first acting gig.

"The advice I gave to my daughter Elizabeth is that the writers, producers and crew have the most important roles on a production," he recalled. "Being an actor is a wonderful craft but we are just a part of a teamwork experience."
