As a highschool senior at this school, my experience here was not perfect. Although staff and others who help run the school try their best, it does help that they do and that makes this school more pleasant to come to. The school through needs to invest more on safety and regulations so everyone feels the safest coming here given a history the school has when I first came and while I was there.
Loved this school, the community was very welcoming, and I was able to adapt very well. from sophomore year to senior year I learned a lot from the school.
I've been here for 3 years , i think this is one of the best schools in New York , teachers are nice they help you whenever you need it . They're also teaching good subjects , i feel safe over here.
It has been good the teachers at the school are mostly good people and we go on many trips and have opportunities and internships that many other schools don't have.
Clinton has made a huge change for the better. So many pathways and extracurricular activities available. My son is enjoying his experience so far. I hope this trend continues.
Amazing environment good teachers and staff many programs that allow students create post secondary plans and even allows students to be exposed to what’s that field like
As a freshman this high school for my first year was amazing. There’s countless opportunities such as getting an internship. For my first year I was never bored there were a lot of clubs for every niche! I recommend going to the clubs it’s really interesting. The staff in this school are also really understanding and kind and they’ll always help you. And for Muslims there’s also a praying room! But not every moment was always good there were hardships as well, if you’re applying to this school it’s pretty competitive in grades. There’s a lot of homework and such which was complicated to do like when I came home I was in a time crunch. I would definitely like to change that. And there’s also scanners which is annoying because you will always have to do it when you enter the school. But nonetheless these things didn’t make me dislike this school it’s a great school and I would recommend it to all.
DeWitt Clinton High School is a popular public high school located in the Bronx, New York City. It has a rich history and has been providing education to students for over a century. I had started attending this school while Covid-19 started to rise more. But, I didn't allow this to hinder my highschool experience. I made many friends with whom I communicate with till this day. As I grew older and rose throughout the grades, I started to see a change, I started to mature and change how I acted. Now, with this maturity developing within me so did some clarity. This caused me to lose friends along the way to where I am now and at the time it hurt because I had just lost a friend but, it would turn out the said people were hindering me from bettering myself. Same thing with heartbreaks, at the time I thought I lost the person I was going to spend my life with. But it turns out I only lost someone who was hindering me and preventing me from seeing who I really am and what I deserve.
my experiences in Dewitt Clinton was very good academically, they have many opportunity internship and offer college level class for students. The only concerning issues in Dewitt Clinton is the safety in its building and out of the building as well to.students can easily get along and easy to make friends as well although i haven't gotten a full high school experience due to covid i do believes that this is a great school for incoming freshman
My experience in high school was good. What I like about high school is that it has a lot of space for everyone. I think it has four schools inside the school. The staff and I had they were great and accommodating. Whenever I needed help with my homework or anything, they would always help me.
Dewitt Clinton high school is a culturally rich and diverse school. I like the infrastructure and the teaching system. One thing I would like to improve is the community service that we do because i believe in contributing to the community we live in.
There are so many restrictions, but in the long run it was by preventing bullying and protecting us as a whole as students
There’s a lot of opportunities and activities in this school. Due to public transportation their are many routes to get here. The pathway programs allow you to take classes and and engage in fun activities that fit each student. Teachers and staff here are very helpful and understanding and try to help you to their best ability.
Dewitt Clinton High School is filled with many opportunities for students. With different pathways for students to choose from, it helps student to prepare and stare them in the direction they would like to be in. From Macy's Honors , Engineering , Arts, Dance and Health. We have great guidance counselor who hear us and consider us. Overall Dewitt Clinton is a good place, i just wish the food was better and we were able to have our phones with us through the day.
My experience from freshman- senior year has been very productive and influencing. I I participated in after school programs such as the step team, multicultural dance, and tutoring. Joining these programs helped me to step out of my comfort zone. It also helped me to add more to my college applications. Dewitt Clinton does a great job with expressing different cultures.
Dewitt Clinton high school has many opportunities that can benefit us as students. They allow students as early as freshman year to start taking AP courses to get college credits all the way up to their senior year. They also have many activities that help students engage with the school and interact with more students to expand their social circle.
I love that DeWitt Clinton has a lot of diveristy so, that the students can see people like them. Also, I love the college readiness. DeWitt Clinton offers so much AP courses as well as some dual enrollment courses and I am glad I took part in it because it is helpingto prepare me for what some of the college experience will be like.
