My experience at Juan Diego was one of a kind, I was truly grateful for my time there. I was involved in student government, varsity basketball captain, apart of their mentorship program, and a Kaiors retreat leader. Being apart of all of these programs really allowed me to find my place at Juan Diego. One thing I really admire about Juan Diego is that there are so many opportunities to really get involved at the school. They also are really good about caring for each and every single individual. My favorite experience at Juan Diego had to be their Kairos retreat, this was an experience that I will never forget as it really helped me to find myself and become a lot more self aware. It also really brought our grade together as we would all be there to support ones emotional journey and be there when people are willing to be vulnerable and confide in classmates. One thing that I would like to see change is the diversity at the school which by the time I graduated they were doing better.
I have had a really great experience at Juan Diego. This school is extremely good at preparing you for the future and allowing you to be apart of the community. I love the amount of retreats they offer, and the opportunities for students to get involved. It really helps bring you closer to your school and the students. If I had to change one thing, it would be how strict they are on the dress code. However, it is a private school so it comes with the school. Overall, I really love my school and all they offer.
It has been a great experience I would say overall. Freshman year is probably a little scary though because you're starting high school and you might have a hard time finding friends to have but over the years I think you would change a lot and see that you are not as scared as you were. I say the best part is being able to have a lot of friends and that you get a good education there and there are lots of extracurricular activities that you can do that are fun depending on what you're into.
