Had the most incredible roast lamb today, Service from Jack was amazing and the food cooked by jodie was lovely. Atmosphere was great. Would deffo recommend.

Best roast ever

Amazing roast one of the best EVER! Amazing service from Charlotte the manager, Gwen for table service and Jodie the chef. Good cooked to perfection, temperature spot on and really tasty. Mini desserts were also a fabulous idea and were just enough after the delicious roast!

Lovely service and a great place to be

Came in with some friends having drinks and nibbles in the garden, Courtney was behind the bar and our drinks came out promptly, Frankie was in the kitchen, was wants for the 3 for £15 bar bites which were cooked to perfection.

Disappointing lunch

I probably should have complained at the time but as I was with a friend I didn’t want to make a fuss. I had a sea bass dish but it was served with some yellowish sauce which gave a chemical taste and I had to pick around it.. My friend had a burger which she also didn’t like. At one point a member of kitchen staff came and sat at a table nearby (on a break?) and I must say she didn’t look very crisp and presentable and didn’t give us confidence in the kitchen.

Last minute dinner

Lovely pub. Great feel and atmosphere. The highlight was the staff! Our waitress was brilliant! Friendly chatty welcoming what an asset !!! The food was just average and not really that which was such a shame The whipped goats cheese was 100% not whipped but slices. The scallops were cold and probably not fresh but frozen and the plum ketchup with the cheese was awful. I’d love to go back just hope the food improves

Worse Christmas Day experience

Worse Christmas dinner EVER. Being vegetarian I was pleased celeriac steak was on the menu, very disappointed on what turned up, no trimmings or gravy. Paying £89 each upfront for our meal….to find a hidden service charge of 10% added on the day. Will never go back again. Total tip off!

Poor food quality staff

Had a Christmas lunch at the Kings Arms the staff were lovely and helpful The food was poor for £89 per head I appreciate the staff working on Christmas day for us and we would normally give them a direct tip but a service charge of £70 was already added to our bill which upset a few people on our table as they had already paid what they thought the full amount in advance on the 3rd of December. Not good

Run down and lacking atmosphere.

Visited for the festive menu with family, food and drink were good, service was pleasant, but the facilities and the general up keep of the pub were very poor. Needs a refit very soon.

Cozy and welcoming

Such a lovely cozy evening in the Kings Arms. Food was really delicious, steaks we had were amazing. Had two really lovely female staff look after us who were both outstanding and made us feel really looked after. So friendly and took the time to say happy birthday :) Excellent evening do visit.
