Your iTunes account and Apple ID are the same. If you need to access your iTunes library, you can log into the Windows application or use the dedicated Music app on your Mac, iPhone, or iPad. You'll just need your Apple ID to get started.

Things You Should Know

On Windows, open iTunes. Click "Account" → "Sign In…" → enter your Apple ID and password. Click "Sign In".
On Mac and iOS, log into the Apple ID associated with your iTunes library.
You can find your iTunes library in the Apple Music, TV, Podcasts, and Books apps.

Open iTunes. Click or double-click the iTunes app icon, which resembles a multicolored musical note on a white background.
- If you're using a Windows PC, you can still download and use the iTunes desktop application.
It's at the top of the iTunes window. A drop-down menu will appear.

Click Sign In…. This option is in the middle of the drop-down menu. A pop-up window will appear.
- If a different Apple ID is signed in, click Sign Out first, then click Sign In.
Type your Apple ID email address into the "Apple ID" text box at the top of the pop-up window.
Type the password you use to log into your Apple ID account into the "Password" text box in the pop-up window.

Click Sign In. It's at the bottom of the window. Doing so signs you into your Apple ID account.
- Any iTunes purchases you've made with this account will become available in iTunes once it finishes syncing.

- iTunes has been split into dedicated apps, such as Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Podcasts, and Apple Books.
- To access your library, you'll need to sign into your Apple ID and download the respective apps on your iPhone or iPad.

Tap Sign in to your iPhone. It's at the top of the screen.
- If you see your name and a picture here, you're already signed into your Apple ID on your iPhone.
Tap the "Apple ID" text box, then type in your Apple ID's email address.

Enter your Apple ID password and tap Next. Tap the "Password" text box, then type in the password you use to log into your Apple ID account.
- If prompted, enter your device's passcode or Face ID to finish signing in.

Open Apple Music. You can also use Apple TV, Apple Podcasts, and Apple Books.
- If you don't have these apps, you can download them from the App Store.
- Once downloaded, the iTunes library associated with your Apple ID will appear in the apps.

You can't, for security reasons. You have to be able to unlock the phone to do anything to it, including getting information on and off.
