I had an awesome experience at Best Defense Armory. Erik helped me locate the gun I wanted through another dealer, had it delivered, and completely modified my gun so it was exactly what I wanted and ready for the range. I highly recommend this veteran owned company!

Great local shop! Very knowledgeable, solid prices, and a really comfortable feel. And the products they carry seem to all be from very reputable manufacturers. I snagged this rifle bag, and couldnt be happier!

Exarmy so I’ll be real. Wrote a long review, but to keep it simple. Horrible experience more than once. There’s better ways to approach paying customers than with ignorance. Complete lack of respect.

The 2 guns showing are both inoperable new from their website.

Pay attention to the fine print range release. They will not give you anything else with range rules and then will humiliate you in front of all the other customers and employees.

As said ExArmy and for vets themselves they can’t even fix a 5 minute AR adjustment and then in my case charge 120 for not fixing it. I fixed it myself after. Horrible gunsmiths, new guns in my case from them won’t even work.

And don’t bring any loud guns to the range people will complain. I know a gun range usually is loud.

Amazing staff. Veteran owned business with great selection of guns and ammunition. Very good prices as well. 10 shooting lanes, very clean, and workers there are very knowledgeable and helpful.

I really like this place. Everyone’s friendly and helpful. Range itself is great. Easy to buy merchandise from their web site and ships to store free. Membership is a great deal. All good.

Decent online selection but the store itself wasn't worth going into unless you are getting to the range maybe.

Great range, well worth buying a membership which start @ $20/month and includes a target. Going even twice a month pays for itself.

Great range, even better VIP lanes, solid FFL transfers at reasonable fee. Yes, you have to follow the range rules to keep everyone safe, you are not above the rules. If you do that, you WILL have a great time here. Seriously, check out the VIP lanes, well worth the extra fee.

I went here for the class for my conceal and carry permit. From the minute I stepped foot in the door they treated me like family, I recall one of the guys there asked my name (I was late btw) and after I told him he goes, “OMG young man you had me worried sick I was just about to call your mother”, we all laughed and from then on they've accepted me as one of their own. When I go there they greet me by my name and always treat me and others (everyone) with respect. On top of that this place is state of the art, I mean it's the nicest, cleanest gun range I've been to. 5 out of 5 stars would recommend. … – show

This place rules! If you’re looking for a nice, clean, well ventilated indoor range you have found the place! The employees and owners here are young, very knowledgeable, informative and professional. 5 stars in my book.

Have used the range a few times now, the new range is great! Decided to use them for a FFL transfer, they called me when my gun arrived and was processed in their system. No time later the FFL transfer was done.

Our family enjoys our time at Best Defense! The staff is so helpful for shooters of all ages and experience. They offer several classes throughout the year and a membership package that is a great value. I'm so glad to have a great resource like Best Defense in Forest Lake serving the Twin Cities' north metro area.

Place is pretty dope. The instructors are great and down to earth people. Conceal and Carry class was fun. Specially when a kid showed up with an AR-15 to qualify and the instructor held back laughter. All around hilarious and informative experience. The staff as well are all great laid back individuals.

My husband and I went here just last night, I had such a positive experience. Everyone that works there just seems to really enjoy it. They were all so happy, kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this place! I cannot wait to go back!

Phenomenal range, very clean. Staff is knowledgeable and the saftey rules are easy to follow and reasonable. Only wish it was a little bigger!

John is the best range officer I have ever met. Super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Drove up from the city's to try this range out, will make the drive every time to shoot at this range. It's employees like John that will make this business flourish. Thanks John!!!!
