That is awesome. I never started an MVC collection since so many on the Capcom side are tough to find… Strider, Tron Bonne, Ruby Heart, etc.
Oh yeahs!!! Definitely hard to acquire. Either theyre super rare or super expensive. I had to be as creative as I can into this collection. There's a lot more Xmen characters I want but cant pair them with anyone since there's not much Capcom figures out there. I also don't want to just slam in Street Fighter characters coz to me, it is uncreative and underutilizing Capcoms other heroes. I didn't want it to look like Marvel vs Street Fighter and friends. Thats why instead of having Zangief, I opted for Tyrant and Nemesis. I really want to make a Hayato custom.
Oh man, trying to find that articulated icons ninja with that head is now incredibly hard to find.
But now I have a new mission of a figure to acquire.
You will definitely find him. Just a little patience and perseverance. You can always use the Sakit martial artist head. Hes still on sale at Fwoosh store

I got it from Ebay. Just type in Proton Cannon. They were 3D printed and they look phenomenal. The seller had like 4 or 5 left. Better get one quick!
My wife made me realize that I've subconsciously bought most of the Marvel characters from MvC2, this post makes me want to get the Capcom characters now lol. Great stuff.

Which version of Megaman X is that? I missed the D Arts train a while back and have been looking for a good version.
Forget about the D-arts, this one is the Kotobukiya 1/12 scale model kit. He is the best in my opinion. Size, likeness and price.

If you have Cammy or Chun Li maybe pair one of them with Spidey, move Stryder to Gambit, and then Dante could pair with Cable.

Bandai Figuarts Zero Sigma. He scales perfectly well with either D-arts Megaman X or Kotobukiya.

That's the main issue with trying to collect an MvC action figure lineup. No single company holds rights to an all encompassing Capcom IP. Wish that could happen, but likely all of Capcom's various franchises are independent IPs, and no company is willing to risk producing a line dedicated to Captain Commando or Cyberbots for example. Not to mention characters like Ruby Heart and Amingo, who were created specifically for MvC and don't have a larger game franchise connected to them.
Sure wish SHF would have committed deeper into their Street Fighter line. Their figures were the closest in scale to ML's and Mafex. Storm Collectibles are just too big and bulky to blend with either line. Could have at least gotten a roster to do XMvSF/MSHvSF.
Yup. Would be pretty neat if Hasbro could atleast make characters from the MvsC games, that way we’d get figs that both look cohesive with eachother plus have similar articulation.
That would be awesome. Back in the late 90's when these games were new, Toy Biz had the rights to make figures based off those games. They had a series of 8 two packs that covered nearly the entire XMvSF roster and a line for MvC1 that covered about half the roster in 4 two packs.
I’ve seen those, they look pretty cool. And since Hasbro is updating/remaking old Toybiz lines, modern, 6 inch versions of all those 2-packs would be amazing!
Exactly. It has been a challenge in terms of hunting and funding these figures. And not only for Capcoms side, Marvels as well. It has been crazy lately to acquire the Mafex comic versions. It would be so much easier if they would just come up with a Capcom Legends brand but nooo... I had to be real creative in who I want in this collection since I don't want it to become Marvel vs Street Fighter and some friends. I really wanted it to feel like Marvel vs Capcom where a lot of other capcom characters will be utilized instead of just going all in with SF. Definitely a hard task since they are low supply and high demand. Had to get lucky bid after bid or just always on the lookout to snag one quick in order to get the best prices. I absolutely love how SHF and SOTA are beautifully scaled with ML and Mafex. Storm has very beautiful sculpts for their SF line but is waaay to bulky and Definitely out of scale. I am very happy how this collection turned out, tho I really wanna add Colossus vs Anakaris but he was never made! SOTA had the prototypes! I also want Iceman but cant find Hayato, Captain Commando or Jin Saotome anywhere. But in terms of XvsSF, definitely doable. Just gotta customize a Charlie Nash and that's a wrap!
I would totally be happy doing XMvSF. It's always been my favorite in the franchise. It's just that the SHF's are rather expensive everywhere I look. At least Cammy, Ryu, and Chun Li are. Missing Dhalsim and Zangief as well as Charlie.
I think Hasbro doing a MvC subline would be a dream come true. They did release a couple MvC two-packs a couple years ago in the 4" scale under their Gamerverse tag. Maybe it's a possibility? One can dream...
Yeah they actually did in that tiny scale. I still have the Ryu. Yeah pretty much all the SF characters are expensive. If you were to do a 6 inch scale XMvsSF one, you can use SHF for Ryu, Ken, Chun-li, you can use SOTA revolution for Zangief and Dhalsim. They are in scale with 1/12 6" figures. Then you can customize a Charlie utilizing his Resaurus version and Neca Guile alternate version body. But it must all come at a price.

I think it could be pretty cool, plus they’d look a bit more cohesive. Not that these doesn’t but they all would have more similar articulation. It’s a longshot but you never know what the ML team cooks up.
Ok this is just too damn cool for school! This is very much a 3D representation of a portion of my childhood in regards to that series of games. Very nice.

Sounds like it. Born in the 80's (81) but grew up in the 90's and all those games from the 90's (Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, X-Men, TNMT, WWF ) were my jam, especially the Marvel Capcom era of games.
Yes sir! I was born in 92 but my two older bros were born in 81 and 86, so yes we all grew up playing the same games! I started playing SF2 when I was 2 yrs old!

Yeah that Modular Iron Man is really dope, I’ve been watching his standing on the aftermarket and he’s still pretty cheap on Amazon, I also found him pretty easily in a store well after his initial release. I mean it’s good for people who want an awesome figure and don’t have him yet but I expected him to skyrocket on aftermarket.
Yeah I can see him skyrocket once hes sold out. Really cheap still. IMO, the Best Iron Man figure out there, well until MAFEX releases a Modular Comic version one. But until that day, I am happy to have this guy!

This is the reason I got so crazy with this toyline. Wish their was more available Capcom characters hopefully a company can give some of the others a figure some time soon. Personally I am looking at Storm being the most likely due to them starting to do Darkstalkers and that Morrigan is comming some time soon.
Storm is decent, though their figures really only fit in their own scaling. They're way too big for marvel legends or mafex. If only Mafex, Figuarts or 1000toys could get some more Capcom IPs.

Man these are awesome. I have an mvc collection I'm working on. I've got that articulated icons base and I'm almost done my strider. I need to know.. how did you make the sword, red waist wrap and the silver belt?
Thanks! The sword was 3d printed from Ebay. The red sash, you have to sand down the waist first til it becomes smooth and straight all over and then add a thin strip of 3M Red Tape all around.. the silver belt was just that same belt from articulated icons, just painted it silver and sharpied the lines.. let me see your final product!
