Doherty Memorial High School Reviews
Rating 3.55 out of 5 214 reviews
Doherty Memorial High School has been awesome since I started as a freshman. The teachers and staff are incredible, always making sure we feel secure and not swamped by classes. I've learned so much and really made my mark at the school!
My experience at Doherty has been good. I enjoy getting to learn in a positive and inclusive environment and I think that it is a great school. There is currently a brand new building being built so next year it will be even better.
Doherty Memorial High School is extremely diverse. There are so many peole from different backgrounds, and what's even better is that everyone respects each other's ethnicity. Currently the building isn't the best, but there is a new school that will be open next year that is huge and will have AC and heat. It's said that it will be able to fit 1600 students, give or take. Doherty is part of WPS so they don't pick what food they get. The lunches aren't the best, but the breakfast is good. Doherty offers bus transportation and takes into consideration the weather. They also provide a variety of AP, Honors, and College level classes. You can also be part of the ETA or Avid Program. In the new building it is said that there will be a couple more progams available. Doherty isn't all sunshine and butterflies though, some of the students don't get along with each other, and there tend to be fights. Luckily our teachers and administrators end them before they get too out of hand.
