What Happened To Tom Bish’s Ex-wife?

Tom Bish’s ex-wife actress and comedian Rue McClanahan, born on February 21, 1934, in Healdton, Oklahoma, U.S. has passed away. In June 1997, she happened to be diagnosed with breast cancer, from which she completely recovered.

Unfortunately, Rue McClanahan died at the age of 76 years on June 3, 2010, in New York City, U.S., Presbyterian Hospital. Her death happened after she suffered a brain hemorrhage.​ Before that, she was hospitalized and underwent triple bypass surgery.

On January 14, 2010, it was reported that while recovering from surgery, Rue McClanahan suffered a minor stroke. She was cremated and her ashes were presented to her family. There was no funeral service held for her but her family created an official memorial page on Facebook.

Memorial services were held during the summer of 2010 in New York and Los Angeles. Rue’s apartment in New York was put on the market for $2.25 million, on June 10, 2010. She was an animal rights advocate and supporter of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
