Great shoes at a great price!

I have a hard to find foot size at 15N. Thankfully New Balance offers a full range of shoe sizes, including mine. I've worn the 900 series (currently 928) and those are very good too. This shoe, the 813s are significantly cheaper (by as much as $60/pair) and they are lighter too. The looks are virtually identical, though I might prefer the 813 slightly more.

The 900 series might offer slightly more stability (hard to say), so if you are trying to use the shoe for sports, that one might be better. Then again, get a real sports shoe for that, if you can. These are "walking" shoes so they presumably don't need all the stability of a sports shoe.

The fit seems right for me, though it's been years since I actually had my foot measured. Sometimes I can fit into 14s by other shoe makers, so I don't know if those shoes are running big or these shoes are running small. But normally I'm a 15 and these feet me nicely. If in doubt about your shoe size (i.e. between sizes), I'd go with the longer size with New Balance. Though of course you can return them if they don't fit. Thankfully for me these have a somewhat boxy toe, rather than a pointy toe, and that makes the fit and comfort better for me than the more pointy kind.

I'm a 66 yo man who's had total reconstruction of my ankle including fusion of joints & my arch. NB makes a few models of shoes w/an effective motion control feature for overpronators, & are available up to 6E wide w/a roomy toe box. They're built on NB's SL-2 last that gives the fit I need. The shoe isn't heavily padded or with lots of arch support, features much lower on my priority list. I also don't mind the solid color & leather upper. It's a great walking shoe for me that's also moderately priced vs a few other NB styles with similar features. It's most welcome in my rotation of NB w/the 847v4 (a really great shoe). I'll look to add 928v3 & 1540v3 over time as needed.
To be clear - these are not, nor do they look like old-school orthopedic shoes. Rather, they are a basic mono-color, sneaker, tennis shoe style.
Being an all leather upper, that's a bit stiff on unboxing and need a bit of "break in" time to loosen/soften.

I’m on my feet doing over 12000 to 17000 steps a day at work. Shoes were comfortable for a time but now the support isn’t too good they become flat idk if changing the insole will make them great again I hope so. The laces are a bit annoying they get untied so many times that I need to double knot it as well. The shoes don’t provide very much ankle support when I have to pivot my foot. What’s the point of the stabilization function.

These shoes are great, the no roll bar really helps me when I walk due to an ankle injury. I usually wear a 10w womens shoe, but sometimes they can be hard to find, so I have bought the men's 9w and they seem about the same for me. I use these all winter long , through the slush and snow, and I feel very confident with them , ice is another story. I don't think I'll ever feel confident walking on ice .
