She worked as an actress and was awarded an Emmy Award for her performance in the TV movie, The Executioner’s Song, which came out in 1982.
Following The Executioner’s Song’s success, Rosanna took part in the movie, Baby It’s You by John Sayles, which came out in 1983.
Two years later, she also starred in Desperately Seeking Susan, featuring the famous Madonna singer. Rosanna received a British Academy Film Award for her supporting role, thanks to this production. In an interview talking about the movie, Rosanna stated:

Alexis started her acting career as a child, appearing in films such as Down and Out in Beverly Hills, Last Exit to Brooklyn, and The Wedding Singer.
She also performed in drag shows and nightclubs, using the stage name Eva Destruction.
Alexis was also a musician, and she recorded songs for films, such as Killer Drag Queens on Dope, and for her own albums, such as She’s My Brother and California Girl.
