Q:
Hi, I wanted to stop by on my next trip 4-6 for a pre-party drink on Friday, April 21 just sit at the bar? Is there a recommendation on a time? Or should I reserve a table have a drink and appetizers?
A:
I’ve done that at the Columbus location and never had a problem, even during the 4-6 time, decent size bar. If they have the bacon appetizer on the menu, it’s amazing… more

Always the best steak in my eyes. I tried the NY strip, even though I usually get the filet and it was amazing. The service was top notch, they made my nieces (9,7) fall in love with the restaurant. One even proclaimed that she loved it more than Yours Truly, which to her was the highest of praises. They had a ton of gluten free options for them and the experience was perfect.
Also have to mention that the sides were amazing, as always. - Lauren H.Murfreesboro, TN031353/26/2023
We had our anniversary dinner at Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse, Nashville last week. The Godfather roll for our Sushi appetizer, Barrel-Cut Filet Mignon and Steak Collinsworth for dinner with Jeff Ruby's Baked Macaroni & Cheese, Truffle Creamed Corn, and Creamy Mashed Potatoes for the sides. (We boxed up about half of that because we also needed dessert!) For dessert we had GooGoo Cluster Ice Cream Pie and Three Layer Carrot Cake. (Took home the carrot cake.) The Espresso Martini was perfectly mixed! Staff was great! Plenty of Reservation times to choose from and quick and easy valet service.

We had a wonderful evening at Jeff Ruby's. We hosted 11 people for an intimate small wedding after ceremony dinner. Trisha and her team who coordinate private dining were excellent. We were very specific with our requests which included starting on the patio connected to the private dining room with appetizers and champagne then leading into a seated dinner where we pre-selected everything except entrees. It was executed perfectly including name placards, custom menu, and perfect timing. JR's pastry Chef, Amber, even made us a 2-tiered wedding cake with fresh florals that was outstanding. The service was impeccable and of course the food is top notch. The private dining rooms music can be adjusted to your preferred volume and taste, and we were playing tunes from the live band at the bar which was a nice touch. Also, one of the reasons we chose JR's was because they have 2 great private dining room options that are large, well decorated, high ceilings, have private patios connected, and are close to the action this leads to a great atmosphere and not a stuffy room in the back of the restaurant which is all too common in Nashville. Well done Jeff Ruby's!

Amazing dinner in Nashville. The food was superb, the service was very professional and loved the ambiance. The Mac and cheese that our waitress recommended was to die for. The salmon, the steak, the other side dishes were all flawless. Make sure you also try the chocolate cake because although it is huge (our waitress said its a three meal event, and we should def give it a try although we would need a to go box for it and she wasn't kidding ) we enjoyed every bite. Â I would absolutely go back and would like to try their other locations.

I was in town for a day and my sister took me for her favorite Mac n cheese in Nashville. I had to catch a flight so we got there right at 5. We sat at the bar and ordered right away. The Mac appeared within minutes! (It was like a magic show). It was rich, creamy, piping hot, and had a nice crusted layer of cheese on top. Now I want more!!

OK guys, when you think most romantic! What does this mean to you: Intriguing dark lighting, date by your side, perfect vibe, etc. Â all I can say everything is really good except the romantic ambience. Â So if you wanna have a great family or business dinner go for it!
The light is so  bright you can sign any deal :) not a place for date night. - Bill S.Overland Park, KS33351/5/2023
Just left Jeff's  our 38th anniversary   All we got from Jeff's was a "happy anniversary"  Â
Went to etch last night and got a card signed by staff and and a champagne toast   Etch food and service was outstanding  five stars
Jeff's  nada
Food  Pretty much the same as most other steak houses   Nothing special  The only standout was the hot Nashville oysters  Very nice  Other than that the sol was so so   The ribeye was so so  The fries were sos so  The mac and cheese was ho hum   The olive oil cake for desert was nice  service was a huge let down  Our waiter was pretty much AOL
Place was not that busy and there was a ton of staff milling around not doing much  Save your money Â
Go to etch or somewhere else  We wasted our money and our anniversary on what was supposed to be a great venueBusiness owner information

First time eating at Jeff Ruby's and I went with my best friend, his brother, his parents and other friends of mine. The food, drinks and the service was absolutely perfect and I'm hoping to be back in the near future.
I'm a big fan of New York strips and this restaurant made the best New York strips I've ever had. - Rob G.Miami, FL04433254/10/2023Updated review
I have to say that I went back this past weekend (Easter Sunday) and they really do deserve that 5th star (that I removed previously for price). Â The food and service comparing to all the really amazing restaurants Ive been too, are above and beyond. Â For this reason, I now think the price/value is justified. Â I didnt get the $64 Jack Daniel's Sinatra lol, opted for the Tuna Flight this time, which on the surface seems pricey, but $4 for each piece is justified. Â OK, Enough on prices, this place really has it all. Â Food, Service, Atmosphere, I highly recommend making reservation for the lounge area, for me, its a better location and the Stage/Piano isnt too loud to enjoy table conversation. Â The service, was also everything you would expect when dining out. Â The food really is top-notch. Â The Tuna flight was unique and very high quality. Â The Faroe Islands Salmon I had was probably the most perfect cooked Salmon Ive ever had at a restaurant, or at least as long as I can remember. Â Wifey got the Lobster Entree and the Mac and Cheese. Â Both were amazing, the crust on the Mac and Cheese was incredible. Â Amazing the flavor and effort that went into a simple dish. Â Definitely on my "must visit" list every time I visit Nashville.
3/3/2020Previous reviewVery cool place in downtown Nash. Â Its super pricey and probably would go back. Â Service is top notch and the food was amazing.
We started off with the calamari and crab cakes. Â The calamari appetizer is huge, and definitely a good value. Â Between that and the crab cake and bread, I was practically stuffed. Â
For my main, I ordered the scallops and may have added a topper, dont recall (after a week of drinking). Â We also got the mushrooms and asparagus. Â My partner in crime got the cowboy steak. Â It was ginormous and a hefty price tag.
The bar area is pretty nice and had a great band playing. Â It was loud but not obnoxious/annoying. Â All the staff made us feel extremely welcomed and taken care of.
I would definitely go back if I am in the area. Â Being that its super pricey, I would reserve for special occasions if I was a local. Â An example would be the Jack Daniels Sinatra - it was close to $50 for a drink, whereas at other restaurants it was $25 (which is also overpriced). Â I have a hard time with that, but I wasnt paying, so I didnt care.
Overall, had a great time. Left completely stuffed and happy. Â Solid 5 stars for food and service, -1 for price. - Jaylen R.Charlotte, NC801681991/28/2023
Jeff Ruby's was decent but it wasn't all that and a bag of chips. It's a pretty venue but the service is slow and honestly nothing on the food nor drink menu stood out. For the prices, I'd expect a more creative food and beverage menu.
