Debra Messing mourns death of former partner Will Chase's ex-wife Lori Davis: 'I can't believe you're gone'
Debra Messing took to Instagram on Monday to mourn the death of her former partner Will Chase's ex-wife Lori Davis.
The 53-year-old actress posted a tribute to her friend Lori, who she called a 'chosen family member.'
Lori's cause of death is not yet known.
Will & Grace star Debra posted several photos of herself with Lori who was married to Will from 1998 to 2008.

'I can't believe you're gone,' she wrote at the top of her Instagram post for her roughly 1.4 million followers.
'No doubt, heaven has a new bright light,' she added.
'It's not fair. You're so good. So loving, funny, nurturing, loyal, open, optimistic, and ready to celebrate…anything,' Debra continued.
Debra said they had a 'unique bond' as Lori was her 'ex-partner's ex-wife'.

She wrote that Lori was the mother of two 'spectacular girls who I had the opportunity to fall in love with, and who became the sisters my boy never had.'
Debra was referencing Lori and Will's daughters Daisy, 22, and Gracie, 20, and her own 17-year-old son Roman whom she shares with her ex-husband Daniel Zelman, 54.
'We loved each other's children and in turn developed a beautiful friendship. We came to every school musical in Princeton, every Kidz Theatre production, we went to Broadway musicals together and she took them to Six Flags. It was special because it was entirely chosen,' Debra wrote in her touching tribute.

The Will & Grace star added that Lori wrote a personal recommendation for Roman's application to her college alma mater.
'I wrote letters for both of the girls' as well. We rooted for each other. We sent singing happy birthday videos to each other, and she helped me celebrate my 50th birthday,' Debra posted. 'We were chosen family'.
She asked for prayers for Lori's family and reminded her followers to remember 'we are guaranteed nothing.'
Debra and Will co-starred in the musical TV series Smash and dated from 2011 to 2014.
