Did the Joker (the Dark Knight) escaped from pit prison?

FILM DISCUSSION

Hi, I noticed that when the joker enters the room where the mafia meeting is taking place in «The Dark Knight» ( https://youtu.be/L3oOldViIgY?t=102 ) , he sings the tune that the prisoners of the pit sang while someone was trying to escape from the pit ( https://youtu.be/-5zdmA7HSoE?t=106 ) . Does this mean the Joker has escaped the pit?

He’s sarcastically laughing because he’s heard Lau say “Trust me, your money is safe”.

It just kinda sorta sounds like the chant from TDKR but it’s definitely not and he didn’t escape the pit.

"Ha ha ha ha aha aha hoo hee ha aha" is not the same "deshi basara."

Ledger's Joker would have escaped from any prison. The guy was smarter than Wayne.

Except the prison he’s in in tdkr that he doesn’t break out of

Nolan pretty explicitly wasn’t interested in connecting the three movies or setting things up for future films… he just wanted to focus on making one film at a time. Even the tease of the joker at the end of Batman Begins wasn’t really setting up a sequel. He planned to step away from Batman after the first flick, but he put in the Joker calling card scene as a nod to Batman’s future.

All that to say, I don’t think he intentionally referenced the chant from TDKR in TDK. He hadn’t even conceived of the plot for TDKR yet. But now I want a cut of the film that replaces the chanting with Joker’s sarcastic laugh.
