Attending East Carolina University (ECU) is an immersive journey, where academic excellence merges seamlessly with vibrant campus life, fostering a transformative college experience that transcends mere education. From the moment one steps onto the sprawling campus, a sense of community envelops them, creating an environment ripe for personal growth and exploration.
The dedicated faculty, comprised of esteemed scholars and practitioners, serve as mentors, guiding students on their intellectual journey and igniting their passion for learning. Small class sizes foster meaningful interactions and promote collaboration, allowing students to delve deep into their studies and cultivate critical thinking skills that will serve them well beyond graduation.

Went here for undergrad and loved it. Back again for grad school! ECU really cares about the community and surrounding areas. The university has many local outreach programs to gain clinical experience. The majority of my professors were very helpful and wanted to see me succeed, which is always nice in contrast to the "fend for yourself" stigma that surrounds certain universities.
I studied Theatre Arts. The professors are a mixed bag. Some are incredible: passionate, engaging, etc. Some seem to not care, and I would have preferred a self-study. Check "ratemyprofessor". It's a college town, don't expect much going on outside beyond the university. I will say the theatre productions are excellent! And if you like football, there is a huge scene.
