Human is one of the four races that players can spawn with on joining the game for the first time. It has a 62.5% chance to be granted upon first joining the game, making it the most common race obtainable through this method.

It gives PvP-focused stat boosts and special abilities, making it a good generalist race for combat.

Obtainment

The player has a 33% chance (25% if Ghoul or Cyborg) to get this race when changing their race, which they can do in 3 different ways:

Stage Method
V2
Completing the Alchemist's Quest. To take this quest, the player has to have completed the Colosseum Quest.
V3
Completing arowe's Quest, which varies depending on the race. Human's V3 quest is:

Make sure you grab the quest every time you join the game, it will reset if you rejoin.

V4
Completing the Temple of Time puzzle, then doing the Trial of Strength.

Each stage of the Human race will give buffs, although will not make visual changes to the player's avatar, unlike other races. Each stage carries onto the next (e.g. at V3 you'd get the buffs from V2 and V1 as well).

Stage Buffs Visual changes
V1
No buffs. No visual changes.
V2
4 buffs:
  • Increase in movement speed.
  • Flash Step range is doubled and its cooldown lowered (around 10s to 15s).
  • Extra dodge and faster dodge regeneration on Instinct.
  • Slightly longer dash distance.
No visual changes.
V3
Unlocks an ability named Last Resort. While activated:
  • User deals more damage depending on how low their health is during the ability (2.25% - 52.25% more damage).
  • Has a 20 second cooldown.
  • Lasts for 5 seconds.
No visual changes.

V4 unlocks different abilities depending on what "Gears" are put in. For more information, please refer to Race Awakening.

Ancient Powers:
  • Upon transforming, receive max stats as well as increased damage, speed, and heal by 10%.
Psycho:
  • Flash Step now has 3 charges, which temporarily make the user invisible and faster upon use. Charges are displayed at the bottom of the screen.
Upgraded version:
  • Flash Step charges now regen faster, dash distance increases, and moves cannot be cancelled anymore upon taking damage.
Limit Break:
  • Allows the user to become stronger as they fight through a rage meter.
  • Each percentage of the Meter gives an additional percentage to damage counts.
Upgraded version:
  • Your rage meter now lasts longer, and is uncapped to 150%.
Visual changes:
  • While transformed, gain a red aura and move erratically.

Pros

  • Great damage (from 50% hp or lower) while using Last Resort.
  • Last Resort could be an alternative to Cyborg's Energy Core for one-shot combos.
  • Much greater Flash Step range and cooldown reduction at V2.
  • Great pick for glass cannon or highly aggressive builds.

Cons

  • Last Resort can be risky in PvP, making the player vulnerable while they are at low HP for extra damage.
  • Short duration for the V3 ability.
  • No health or defense buffs.

Notes

  • It no longer gives a permanent extra dodge for Instinct after Update 18, which means the permanent extra dodge was not intended after all.
