Trucking in Alaska? Ooh, yes please, sounds like a forerunner to Ice Road Truckers, or at least a North American take on Hell Drivers.
Sadly it's neither of those, although it does feel as if it's borrowed elements of the Stanley Baker road haulage magnum opus, but definitely not the action.
After a quick history of the Alaska Highway we meet Al and Pete, who pick up Tina who has abandoned her ride after the driver started making advances, persuading her to stay and take a job at the only restaurant in town, because they've both taken a fancy to her. One might suppose the two men will fall out with one another over Tina, but that never happens.
