Nativity of Our Lord School Reviews

I sadly have to agree with the 1 star review here. I came here to say the same thing, however I really hope it has changed in a new generation. It may have, and I genuinely hope it has. I went here from 2000-2008. Many of my other classmates, siblings or people I ran into down the road had a similar experience. The only people that seemed to enjoy this school were the “popular kids” who would bully everyone.. it was acceptable and turned a blind eye to. I was not even bullied as bad as some, even though I have quite a few core memories of this.. I have heard horror stories from other students.. some that have leaked in later in life and created significant mental health issues. I went to a public high school after graduating and all my depression lifted, I was happy, and accepted. I will never put my kids in private school after this experience. I will say it had some amazing teachers, food, and academically prepared me ahead of my highschool.. but mental health was not worth the cost
I would call Nativity of Our Lord School the worst experience of my life. I wouldn't wish attendance on my worst enemy. I joined the school as a happy child who loved learning. I left with severe and crippling depression after years of unchecked bullying. I got straight As, but nearly lost my love of learning with the grueling and uninspired homework regimen and the pervasive attitude that education should be torture. I thought the problem was me until I went to high school and then realized it had been the school environment all along.
The school is rigorous and teachers have high standards (both of these are good things), but the homework load and pressure are not worth it. Negative stars for diversity, regard for children's emotional wellbeing, and extreme intolerance of others based on race, class, or other identity marker. You will not feel welcomed unless you from are a white, privileged, conservative generational Nativity family. Unless that's you, run for the hills.

Prepared me well for High school. I learned not only the academics but also learned how to treat, and respect people. My friends I had here still are great friends even though some went to different high schools. The teachers are very knowledgable about their subject and seem to enjoy teaching. Nativity has many clubs, sports, and activities for students to choose from. Overall this is a great school.
