Diarmuid (MacMurrough) MacMurchada (abt.1110-1171) | WikiTree FREE Family Tree
Diarmaid mac Murchada (Dermot) was an Irish King of Leinster. He became involved in a complicated feud, partly because he abducted a neighbor's wife, and in 1166 was defeated and banished by Ruaidrí Ua Conchobair (Rory O'Connor), High King of Ireland.
In 1167, Dermot appealed for help to King Henry II of England, who refused him direct support but allowed him to enlist a force led by Richard de Clare, 2nd Earl of Pembroke, better known as "Strongbow"and other Norman barons in Wales. In 1169, Strongbow invaded and won much of Ireland including Dublin. Strongbow married Dermot's daughter, Eve MacMurrough.
It is thought that Diarmaid Mac Murchada may have commissioned the valuable Irish manuscript, the Book of Leinster.
He is buried in the churchyard of Ferns Cathedral, The Cathedral Church of St Edan, County Wexford., Ireland. His grave may still be seen there. [1]
AI1166.7 Diarmait son of Mac Murchada, king of Laigin, was banished eastwards over sea, after the foreigners of Áth Cliath and the Laigin had turned against him.
AI1167.2 Diarmait Mac Murchada returned from overseas, and Uí Cheinnselaig was taken by him.
AI1168.2 Énna, son of Mac Murchada, was blinded by the Osraige.
The Columbia Encyclopedia, Sixth Edition. 2001. (Says "He asked Richard Strongbow de Clare (and others including William Gerard, etc) to help him in Ireland. That was the beginning of the Norman Conquest of Ireland.")

I always thought that Diarmiud and Mor had another son called Eanna Cinnsealach who was the eldest, and was blinded so that he couldn't inherit the Kingdom of Leinster? Perhaps, I am wrong about this.
If I am indeed wrong, how is McMurrough related to the Cinnsealach?
There is an interesting account of the English Invasion of Ireland in O'Hart, John. "Irish Pedigrees, or the Origin and Stem of the Irish Nation, 3rd ed." J. Duffy and Co, 1881 at p 591 ff. MacMurrough's part begins at p 593, accessible here https://hdl.handle.net/2027/uva.x002044509?urlappend=%3Bseq=639.
According to the Wikipedia entry, his predecessor as King was Enna. But his father was Donnchad mac Murchada. It appears that Enna was his brother, not his father.
His mother is Orlaith, who is listed here as his mother and his grandmother. I will try to fix this.
Mac Murchada-1 and MacMurrough-19 appear to represent the same person because: in Mac Murchada-1 - the name "Macdonncha" points to his father being Donnchadh and not Enna.
