Sehome High School is a great school for academics, there are some amazing classes to take, some teachers are good, a couple great, and others don't really teach (specially Spanish classes). I think it has a great variety of sports to take part in, now I wish some clubs and the school overall was more diverse as I would say it is hard to find your place in here if you have not been with your class for years, as people create their own groups. SHS can be accepting, but also not at the same time, I had some lonely times as some friendly times, not my favorite years necessarily, but did enjoy what I could out of them. I will say there are some amazing people and teachers in here when you do find them, and good school spirit!
Sehome high school has provided me several ups and downs. Our school lacks diversity, and the treatment from admin is subpar. However, the brand new building contains teachers of quality, and positive learning environments exist in the right spaces.
The staff and people are very well trained and always have resources available to help people in need. However, school spirit is low and discussion about real-world events is limited.
I experienced Sehome High School just as it opened it's new campus and facilities. We moved into the school sometime between the winter and spring. Overall, the teachers were nice and taught the subjects well. The teachers seemed to know what they were doing and I thought they generally graded the assignments fairly.
Compared to a college schedule, the breaks between classes and lunch period are restrictive. Some teachers were overly strict about how long someone "should" take to go the bathroom. I would prefer more time between classes, especially going from a gym class.

My school lacks diversityim culture race and socioeconomic standing and understanding of others from different backgrounds. We have a few teachers who are amazing and a lot who are lackluster.
As a student of Sehome High school, my experience was both good and bad. Freshman to mid sophomore year we were learning online and that made it difficult for my experience. Once we went back we wore masks for almost a year and that also made it hard socially. Once the mask policy was lifted, my experience at Sehome improved tremendously.
Sehome is a wonderful school with great facilities and a support network within the school. The greater Bellingham Public School system is not terribly fond of supporting the arts department and do not fund them adequately.
Some of my favorite memories have been on the tennis team. i think that there is an enphanisis placed on sports, but no equality and promoting diversity. Sehome is very much lacking school spirit, and i think it has to do with the lack of connection between students as well as between staff.
Like all schools, not perfect - some teachers that are phoning it in or not equipped to be teaching. Others who are good or great. Mostly good school but could use some more innovative mental health programs tht aren't just adults talking....
Sehome High School was where I graduated from. I graduated with the class of 2022 and I felt as though it was easy to make connections. I love that within the Bellingham Public Schools there was lots of option for remote learning and accommodations to student specific needs. There were also a lot of different clubs that were easy to get involved with. Clubs and extra curricular's were little to no extra cost which was nice.
Sehome is a great school. While our reputation may have been tarnished a little through the years, it is a community in which I feel welcome. I know I am getting a good education because the teachers are passionate to teach, and the students are passionate to learn. Sehome high school effortlessly finds a way to balance social time with quality learning.
sehome was a good high school the building is new and the facilities are very nice the teachers are good at what they do and are very helpful.
I think Sehome gives a good education, and the staff and teachers are all good people whose goal is to help the kids they serve. There are enough classes to provide suitable academic stimulation for all levels of learning.
I personally made few friends and found the social environment of Sehome High School to be a very friendly, but not caring environment. I'm of the opinion that the student body is very insecure and unstable in their lives, and their skins. That general atmosphere caused me to stop enjoying my experience in the Sehome building. However, I loved choir, and I think that most everyone should be able to find at least one group of people in the school that they resonate with.

The community is lovely, and there are a lot of fantastic really involved teachers, clubs, and so on.
I loved how inclusive everyone is, everyone is really nice and you feel safe talking to them. The school spirit is amazing and makes high school fun.
Lots of AP classes and electives available. Great new building, best in the county. Supportive teachers and staff.
It was good I guess. I like most of the teachers, and I learned a lot. There could be more/better clubs though.
