So much history throughout this stunning Dom. Free to walk in on the first floor, where you get a view of the mosaic ceilings and top to bottom, stained glass. The climb to the top of the tower is also easy and accessible. This is a must see when visiting Aachen.

My visit to Aachen Cathedral in 2014 was a fascinating journey into the heart of history and art. The cathedral's rich architectural heritage and religious significance left a lasting impression, making it a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts and culture lovers. The intricate design and craftsmanship of the cathedral's interior were awe-inspiring. The golden mosaics and beautifully adorned chapels showcased the skill of the artisans who created this magnificent place of worship. The Palatine Chapel, in particular, stood out with its unique octagonal shape and exquisite detailing. The historical importance of Aachen Cathedral as the coronation site of numerous German kings added to its allure. Standing in the same space where centuries of royal history unfolded was a humbling experience that transported me back in time. The cathedral's surroundings, including the charming Old Town and the nearby Elisenbrunnen, provided an excellent backdrop for exploring the city's cultural offerings. However, the experience could have been enhanced with more detailed information provided at various points within the cathedral. While the architecture spoke volumes, additional signage or guided tours would have provided deeper insights into its historical and religious significance. Overall, Aachen Cathedral is a treasure trove of art, history, and spirituality that should not be missed. Despite the minor lack of information, the beauty and cultural value of this UNESCO World Heritage Site make it a compelling destination for anyone with an appreciation for the past and the wonders of architectural excellence.

A pretty cool place to visit. The architecture is very intricate on the outside. It’s amazing how detailed the inside is. Seems like every square inch of this place is as decorative as possible. The stained glass is a sight to see. Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy elaborate architecture. A pretty casual environment. You’re pretty much free to walk around at your leisure and enjoy it at your pace.

If you love gothic places, this is your moment! You can get awesome pics and if the sky is grey, you will feel how the witchy vibes increase 🙌❤️

I was in awe to visit this church, no wonder it is the first site to be granted UNESCO World Heritage in Germany. Vistors are allowed starting at 1pm, you have to pay extra to enter the area where Charlemagne's grave is. It is really worth a visit. Very impressive. Pictures does not do the justice on how beautiful it is.

Impressive, unparalleled. Middle ages, Charlemagne, Barbarossa....i don't wont to repeat the trivial things - check Wiki... If you come around 10 am you probably will be lucky to book a same day guided tour ( German/English). With this tour you can see some areas of the Cathedral that are not accessible otherwise. Absolutely worth visiting.

One important historical landmark in the city of Aachen, Germany. Situated in the heart of city centre of the Aachen city. I would say a must visit place in this city. Inside the cathedral it’s so beautiful. Entry is free. From outside also it’s huge and also beautiful.

This is a very beautiful cathedral absolutely worth a visit. I was really impressed by the beautiful artwork in the cathedral. There was a fee of 1 EUR to take pictures, but that was absolutely OK considering that there is no entrance fee.

It is a really singular cathedral (with a unique distribution of the main chambers) in comparison to the standard concept of cathedral that one could think about. During Christmas, it is surrounded by the Christmas market, which makes it even more special. I think it would be great, if they would allow us to get into the top of the cathedral to see the views.

A very cute metallic sculpture that is fascinating. The puppets are mobile in some parts of their body and you can touch and ply with them freely. I was actually wandering around the city and found them by chance. Lovely thing to see in the middle of a shopping street. Recommend to see while in Aachen.

A very intruiging statue that moves and shifts with a gentle push. It is definitely not a major attraction to see, but its interesting to see if you are on the way to another place.

I'll admit that it is whimsical and certainly worth a look. A charming set of figures and masks are perched around the fountain which is somewhat hemmed in by the surrounding buildings.

The 'doll fountain' opened in 1975 shows the story of the City and the people living there... Fun and worth a look when in Aachen.

The vibe around is quite nice and this old narrow street is very cute. So the area around the puppenbrunnen is worth visiting.

Beautiful and calm city of Aachen , Germany and is located about 300 km from Frankfurt. Good place to live. RWTH university is one of the best educational institutions in Aachen . In Ponttor students mess is famous.

A very important museum of Aachen, not as the Treasure of the Dome but organiced with help of mes tecnologíes. The only fall IS that aren't any phrase nor book in spanish lenguage, a piti because many spanish speaking people can' t understand the matter. On the other side some of the reception's people don't speak english and this disturb a lot. But I advise to visita It better if hoy know gernany lenguage.

Small but fascinating museum full of the local history around Charlemagne and similar. Easy to get around with lifts for wheelchair users, and ample space to get around the exhibits. Helpful staff and good facilities, disabled toilet was also clean, well kept, and had plenty of space to get around to use it. The museum is right next to the Cathedral, and there is a Weinachtsmarkt in the area in December so it may be busy. The ramp to access the wheelchair entrance is also built in to the steps, we had some difficulty going along here as a school trip (or similar group) were using the steps to pose for photos and sit for lunch/break.

An interesting city museum starting with the Romans to modern times. The focus is of course on Charlemagne. Who founded the city. His life and work is present everywhere in the city. The museum offers changing exhibitions. Plan for 2 hours.r

We only had 45 minutes to devote to this museum before our train, but that worked. A nice collection of relics from the time and Romans. The mail shirt felt remarkably heavy.

A wonderful museum, worth a good hour and a half. Takes you through the history of the city with a special focus on Charlemagne. The location of the museum is fantastic and all of the staff were friendly. Don't miss the exhibition upstairs!

The collection is rich and there are many modern imitations, detailing all aspects of the society during the Charlemagne period.

Very interesting and well organised exhibition. There are some things written in English but not everything is translated, so I would suggest to improve that. Also, you have to leave your bags inside a locker (bring 1€ or 2€ coins as you need one of those to make it work; you’ll get it back), so bring your cellphone (pictures allowed), wallet and tissues with you. We took maybe 45 minutes here, before going to the Cathedral.

The staff of the museum hit me screaming and pushed me with violence all the way out because, in their opinion, my mask was not perfectly on my nose. This is crazy and unacceptable. Plus, at the ticket office, they breached European Law as they were not supposed to check personal information on the covid certificate whether one is vaccinated or recovered. they did. A very, very bad and traumatising experience.

The Aachen Cathedral Treasury should pretty much a visit to Aachen Cathedral with an extra payment for entrance. It’s definitely worth the entrance fee to see all the treasures of the cathedral, especially the golden bust of Charlemange, all the Charlemagne reliquaries and dozens of other saint reliquaries, and the Cross of Lothar. There’s also some fantastic works of art by various goldsmiths, sculptures and the likes. Definitely a must see in Aachen.

I can describe the treasury with one word “Incredible”. The place is a bit hidden, well not really, it is close to the cathedral, but it is not inside the cathedral like google maps says. It is on its surroundings. Look for the shop, in front of the shop there’s a ticket office, there you get your tickets (cash/card), right in front of the ticket office is the entrance to the treasury. If you arrive a bit over the closing hour, go quickly to the inner court or patio because it closes first. Take a quick look and then go to the treasury. The treasury is not that big, there’s the main floor which will take most of the time, it is about 6 rooms or so where you would find the main collection. Top floor has a bit more with some displays still being developed (at the time writing this review there were missing texts even in German), but I’d say is the half of the ground floor. The lower floor, like the basement consists of a big room with just a few things to see. I’d say the whole visit could take you 30 minutes to an hours. Depending on how interested you are, if you got an audio guide, and if you are doing a guided tour. Although not a long visit, I think it’s perfect. It goes right to the point, you see really incredible and unique treasure of the former Collegiate Church and current Cathedral of Aachen. If you go to Aachen this is a must. You truly can’t missed it and the price is also cheap, about €6 so no excuse.

The best cathedral I have ever visited. It’s not a gigantic building but has a historical architecture. And I was impressed by the interior design. Its stained glass was amazing, delicately beautiful. Also its marble columns and mosaic murals were also remarkable.

You can almost miss the entrance, but if you leave the cathedral, walk away heading slightly right, past the toilet and 'gift' shop. Turn right at the corner. Walk up to the entrance on your right. You need to leave all your bags in a locker (€1 tunable refundable deposit), ppl under 21 are free. Really brilliant set of 'tresures' to view, plenty of info in English, but very interesting viewing regardless.

Pretty great for such a small city, maybe a bit pricey. Also sad that the relics are encased in glass. I think some of them aught to be accessible for worshipers to touch devotional items to (that's the point of relics, after all)

Really nice building located in the heart of Aachen. It is quick to see and audio guides are provided. There are about 4-5 rooms on the ground floor. And the a huge room on the top floor. Each room has a different theme and history.

The City Hall is really pretty with a very historical exterior. If you visit Aachen, you will have to go there anyway. The bug hall in front is such a beautiful place to admire, especially on a sunny day.

There are also great bars and cafes around Aachen town hall. You can drink very good German beers or taste great coffee and cakes here. The telephone room was a great insight. And the details of the art are great. It is truly astonishing 😲 Students get discounts, so do carry your student card.

Aachen Town Hall is a landmark of cultural significance located in the Altstad of Aachen. It was built in the Gothic style in the first half of the 14th century. The building itself is amazing. We didn't enter inside, but from outside is outstanding.

The building is so nice in terms of architecture, however I am not sure if the entrance fee for the museums worths or not since there are only arts, but you still can see the interior architecture.

The city hall of Aachen is a very cool and historic place. The crown jewels given to the king or queen of Aachen is stored here behind a glass wall. It is valued at about 1 million euros. The hall itself is where many people such as Henry Kissinger (he unfortunately died the day this post is being written) were celebrated and inaugurated. I definitely reccomend visiting the city hall if you are in the area, especially at night. I also highly reccomend getting a tour guide to explain all the culture and history.

In addition there are also a lot of photoes and videos of how the city used to look, as long as footage from the World War II. Totally worth visiting when in Aachen.

We are we’re happy to visit that Zoo. Not very big, but very nice. Even all animals we’re waiting for kids. It says a lot😍 Time passed quickly !😍

The cheapest zoo around. But of course not as big as the Antwerp or Cologne Zoo ! As a result, there are not many kinds of animals! But a nice place to spend time with children 👍

Great place to take little kids, the zoo has a lot of local animals but also a nice but limited variety of exotic animals. We went on a public holiday but we felt that it wasn't too crowded for the animals or our little one to be overwhelmed. It's a well kept zoo where you can feed some animals with fodder you buy at the entrance. You can get refreshments either at the entrance or at the small cafe. We enjoyed the day and spent probably a good two hours, maybe more if we had used one of the many play yards, which all come with seating and sometimes tables too. We particularly enjoyed the animals that you can go touch and feel. The signage in the park could have been a bit better to find our bearings but you'll never get lost. That's for sure. Also the price at 15€ for two adults is super reasonable. Can very much recommend!

Exceptionally nice zoo for the little ones. Not too big, not too much, just enough of everything. Nice enclosures, cool playgrounds, plenty of interesting animals without going over the top. Can definitely recommend!

Very good time passing destination, well maintained tier park in Aachen. Kids friendly, lots of place to sit and enjoy with kids. Friendly staff and reasonable price. Strong hearted 4 star because, It would have been perfect if there are little more and few rare animals (like lion, bear, giraffe, rhinos, etc.) Of course, tier park cannot be compared with zoos. But compared to other tier parks, the number of animals can be increased. Overall: I would definitely recommend this place for some leisure outings during perfect weather.

Very nice park! Only thing to improve would be the catering and toilets. In my opinion not enough of each for the park. Otherwise really nice park with plenty of different animals and playgrounds. Also considering the price, it is way cheaper than any equivalent park in the region.

Nice place to bring your kids. There's an area where you can feed and pet goats. It's easy to spend a few hours in here and it's affordable. The minus point is for the lack of food options inside. The snack bar only serves a microwaved frikadelle and sausages and bad coffee. It looks like a place in the DDR where there wasn't enough food to serve.

Really great to visit. Their animals are really well treated. There multiple places where you can just sit comfortably and watch. Especially on good days, always a great time. My favourite animals are the small red pandas there.

This place has my heart. For several reasons - 1. Affordable (budget friendly) 2. Decent selection of animals considering this is a city zoo 3. Option to play with goats, pony and feed certain animals (alpacas) 4. Family friendly place 5. Very well designed :)

I must confess that I've never been to a zoo before so my rating will be bloated by the sharp edge of novelty. This quaint establishment has a surprisingly adequate number of animals and one can spend a couple of enjoyable hours before he can say that he has seen everything. The enclosures are built on top of a natural landscape that makes you forget that it is a zoo at all.

This park was one of the first ones I visited when I moved to Germany. It's easy to find, well laid out, stroller and wheelchair friendly, great for kids and the animals seem very well cared for. I love the variety of animals you can see. You do need to book a ticket in advance of going. Pre covid they had a little Cafe you can buy items from but it is currently closed. You can buy little bags of seed and feed the animals as well. It also has a few play structures for kids.

You can only pay in cash (7€/adult), and unfortunately no discount for federal volunteers (which is the case to many museums & other tourist attractions in Europe). The map the ticket seller gave us was not up-to-date, therefore we couldn't find the animals according to it. There is alpacas there, which according to the map, is to the right of the entrance, but actually was somewhere else. There were free bathrooms inside, to the right direction of the entrance.

Had a great afternoon here, surprisingly close to the centre of Aachen and extremely easy to find. Free parking is also available to visitors. Great variety of animals which are obviously well looked after. Plenty of staff attending to their needs throughout the day. Particular highlight was the goat enclosure which you can go inside and meet the young goat kids! Definitely worth a visit!

Good price, it was fun for our son who is 2,5. Highlight of the day was feeding the goats. Things that could be better are trash cans in the toilets so you can get rid of the changed diaper. And the warm food form the restaurant should be warmer. And coulb be fresh some things get warmed in the microwave they could be fresh of should get more time in the microwave

Loved the Museum. We received a token from the aachen tourism office and could visit the Museum for free. Loved the place. It projects liyestyle of people from different tome period. Situated at tje very centre. Definitely recommended.

It is like visiting a house from the 18 century. The personal use to follow you every where you go but don't take it personal, they do that for everyone. It has an small inner yard where you can take a coffee for 1.50 EUR. It is a nice place if you like the art and your are curious about how the people lived in that times.

Interesting museum about the different styles and houses in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is really interesting. I guess you need around 1 hour to see everything. Small bags can be stored.

Its a house originally built in 1662, but was renovated in Rococo style in 1786. The house is still maintained as how a normal house would have been in 1700s! 'Pharmacy' can be seen free of cost even before reaching the ticketing counter. Rest of the place is ticketed.

Nice point to see the light of sunset in spring with the black ground of Aachen cathedral. Located on the small garden which the nature hot spring of Aachen “Elisonbrunnen“ The water rotates counterclockwise. It also flows in winter due to the warm water from Aachen's hot springs. Just a small square in the center. There is nothing to even spare time for it.

People here were not the most friendly. Seemed very fed up with life no matter who you spoke to that worked in one of the Aachen busineses. .The dog started seeing spirits or something and got proper freaked out.

Aachen is full of fountains, and this was my favorite. Close to Elisenbrunnen and with a nice small park close by.

A nice area to relax at

A great place for most of your shopping needs in Aachen. Around 700 m from the train station. Located at the heart of the city, the biggest shopping mall in the city of Aachen. The mall has a parking place. You will find almost all the familiar shop here, (h&m, c&a also nearby). There is shop for kids. A kid play station. If you get tired of shopping, you can sit, there is plenty of space for seating. The most amazing thing is there is a food court, they offer wide variety of foods. If you want to eat only a bakery item, there is a Rewe also. For electronics you will find Saturn. In the second floor, there is a toilet, that is very clean. They have both escalator and lift. And the interior design is eye shooting.

It has everything under one roof, highly recommended for the shopping in Aachen.

Way too hot in here, also verry small walking pads and barely no sitting area. Not the most welcoming/comfortable shopping mall. Also, the mall took away the vibrant shopping streets of Aachen. Many shops outside the mall have already closed which is painful to see.

Nice shopping mall, but the machines to pay for parking are often out off order, only accept cash and it’s not possible to pay contactless or by smartphone. Calling the Servicedesk for help isn’t a solution. They just say you have to arrange cash, the can’t help because the parking lot provider isn’t open for a other solution. Sorry that isn’t service!

Love the place, especially the food lounge a variety of tasty dishes. The variety of the stores within the mall also makes it one of my top favourite shopping malls to visit. It can get crowded on Saturdays. The parking can get tough and lengthy lines on the parking gates sometimes.

It is one of my go-to places in Aachen as it’s a nice plaza with everything under one roof and it has improved significantly in the past few years so that is commendable! Hope they expand and become even better!

I had the opportunity to visit Aquiz Plaza in Aachen, and it's a fantastic mall for shopping and entertainment. The diverse range of stores and dining options is quite impressive. However, it can get crowded during weekends, so be prepared for a bustling atmosphere. If you're in Aachen and looking for a great shopping and dining experience, Aquiz Plaza is the place to be! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It's an excellent place to spend a whole day only that not on Sunday or holidays as it will be closed. If you are a a Savvy Shopper you can always find something that is not pricey and suit your needs. I will recommend Pull & Bear for apparel and the supermarket （Rewe）on ground floor plus the DM.

I am sorry but I don’t understand how is possible that In a museum, also a pretty famous one not a small local museum of town, every single staff member don’t know how to speak English or any other language expect German. They could not answer the most simple question and ended up misleading me to join a group tour in German and when I asked if I could simply do the tour by myself they said no. Wasted my time, because at the end I could’ve done it but the communication was just 0 helpful Why in the only place where the staff you hire should speak English, you hire only german’s speakers. The kebab guy that sold me a sandwich earlier could speak a better English. Germany is the only country where I found this problem in mostly all the museums and I think is just because they don’t want to hire younger people..

I recently visited the Ludwig Forum in Aachen, and while I must confess that modern art isn't exactly my cup of tea, I stumbled upon an unexpected gem during my visit. The "Water Bucket Exhibition" showcased an avant-garde approach to the fragility of life, cleverly manifested through strategically placed buckets to catch leaks in the roof. The juxtaposition of the unpredictable water droplets and the surrounding art pieces created a surreal atmosphere, prompting contemplation on the impermanence of our surroundings. Kudos to the museum for embracing the unpredictable and weaving an unintentional narrative about the transience of life. Sometimes, art finds its way into the most unexpected places, and this water bucket installation certainly left a lasting impression on me. Bravo to the museum for keeping things refreshingly unconventional!

Great art. Terrible atmosphere. What others have said about rules and docents, very accurate. Oppressive atmosphere for such a gran beautiful space. Breathtaking art, but intrusive docents make you think they will report you to the secret police if you say the wrong thing. Do not go with children. Also do not use locker 38 as it will take your euro and not give you key or lock your belongings.

The chalk wall was fun. Other Art … it’s subjective and for a normal person, maybe a bit hard to understand. But I’m glad we went.

We left after 15 minutes not neccesary because of the art ( it was not very- very inspiring, but that is a matter of personal taste and a calculated risk whenever visiting art shows) but due to the misbehaviour of the guards! Every move we were being watched closely, too closely, one guard was even staring to us. It was an unpleasant experience. Not welcoming and not relaxed. We left feeling uneasy. Only one thought could save this crazy experience: that it was a performance! But helas, it was not. It was rude and never again!

One of the main ancient city gates of Aachen...approx. 700 years old and is definitely one of the popular spots to visit in Aachen. Has a beautiful turreted top and indeed looks really good during the day and at night.

Nice landmark. Going through the gate at night I have been jumpscared more often than I will admit by the soldier statue lurking in the shadows... Also sometimes the inside of the tower is rented out for events which looks cool.

The museum is overall nice, it lacks a larger section of far past. Or at least I couldn't find it. In the older section there was a very impressive celling. I loved the stained glasses at the top floor. Moreover, you can't take photos inside.

Great collection, not too big or small. They show it based on theme rather than time (although it is grouped by each 500 year period) which is a great fit for the size of the collection. I speak fluent German, but the guards are really not very nice. We were a bit on the later side of the day, but they kept asking if we knew they closed at 5. Of course we did, the person selling the ticket told us ! 😂 To be fair, the tickets were reduced in price (3 rather than 6 euros) due to some art pieces missing, which was nice.

Dürer expo is certainly worth a visit, unfortunately quite busy and guided tour groups are a really bad idea in a museum with limited space.

The museum is not that big, the staff hardly speaks any language other that German. No shop opened, no café. One sit available per floor. Having to ask for the use of lift and they did it with a lack of grace.

Very nice museum with a great collection of Dürer right at the moment ( until October 2021). For a small city like Aachen the collection of this museum can really surprise you. This was a new addition to the coach tour and was well worth the visit. I’ve never seen search a wide variety of chocolate like this before and the prices are certainly cheaper than the standard shop prices. The pick and mix is a nice option for those that don’t want to buy boxes. There are also customer toilets on site which ids handy.

I will start from the good things. The setting on the table nice. Large portions as for Michelin-star restaurant. Halibut was excellent. But why is the restaurant serving oysters in early August, when it is not a season for this product? The oysters tasted very bad. If I hadn't eaten oysters before, I would have thought they tasted like this. But the worst was the service: (1) We were offered vodka - it was lunch, we were 3 women incl. teenager and pensioner. (2) Dishes were served randomly from right and left sides (3) Water was poured by a waiter dragging himself across the table instead of approaching the guest from the right side (4) Between courses, the table was not cleaned of baguette crumbs (only before dessert did they do it, so the plates were placed directly on these crumbs). I was impressed by the food but did find a few combinations could have been better harmonized (e.g. fried egg and salmon for starters then a full plate of meat/fish for main is a bit repetitive and also overwhelming). Also hummus is everywhere these days and a bit outdone, so could have been left out. The decor needs an upgrade but everything is clean and proper, just a bit dated and not always so practical (cutlery was put on a 'stand' that kept falling). Worth the price!!

The steak was well cooked, and the side salads and potatoes were also delicious, especially small pieces of crispy fried potatoes. If there are more then two people, I strongly recommend booking because this restaurant is very popular.

Superschnitzel with pepper sauce as big as a plate. What joy to eat and great taste. Loved the ambiance which is quite unique and warm. In summer the garden is a wondrrful.place to eat and sit. Staff were really friendly. Just wished they had had better decaf and that the coffee milk had not gone off.

Sorry to say, but the food we had, Schnitzels were overpriced and soaked in sauce. I have eaten Schnitzels everywhere in the world and the ones I call the best were fresh, crispy and not 22€. I wouldn’t come back.

Impressed by the quality of their food, I found that the « cuisson" were perfect, sauces were well balanced and dishes had laser-plating. The service was brilliant too with an excellent tempo coming out of the kitchen. We will be back to test their vegetarian menu

Not many options are offered, which makes the food even more tasty and an explosion of flavours. 🍲 You'll have the most regional food and drinks of the specific season. I was the first time in Aachen and found this beautiful place accidentally. The fresh barbecue smell was in the air and I decided to dine in. I ordered the grill plate. The meat was perfectly grilled and the taste amazing as I expected. If you are hungry and want to taste traditional libanesian food don’t hesitate to dine in. I really recommend this place for their fresh made sauce and grilled meat. Awesome!

I highlight the grilled lamb (kebab), very tasty and well done, also the selection of beer was one of my favourite in German, but the sauces and dips… we expected better quality, too much liquid and samosas, fries and rolls too greasy. Nice place to go for Lebanese food but average quality. Acceptable price.

Food was good and quite cheap, but the portions are small. I tried Tawook Shish and can definitely recommend it. Other than that, there’s no internet and the toilets are extremely small and inconvenient. I had to somehow avoid touching the toilet when leaving the room.

Quite the waiting line here. And the food say why. Tried their mini mesa platter. It’s quite filling. 6 mixed samosas, 2 falafel, 1 kibbeh, 3 crispy puff pastry rolls, bread and salad. Served with freshly prepared dips: Hummus, Tajen, Muhammara and our homemade AKL dip. The one in the middle is sweet but other dips are quite good. So was the samosas and falafels.

Price quality is quite okay. But it's the third time in a row the food is served cold. The fried snacks are already baked in oil and if you order, they just heat it up again in the microwave. So, okay it's cheap to eat but they can do really better.

I was waffling between 4 and 5 stars because this restaurant is one of my favourites and is generally a fan favourite in Aachen. AKL is a Lebanese restaurant pronounced عقل in Arabic. It offers a variety of different sandwiches from shawarma to fajita to kebab and many more. I have tried many things at AKL and was impressed by the good quality and flavour of the majority of their dishes. Service is quick and friendly. Price-wise AKL tends to be a bit on the pricier range in comparison to other Arabic restaurants in Aachen and NRW in general. However I still consider the prices reasonable in relation to the quality and would recommend this restaurant to all Arabic food lovers in Aachen.

My mixed vegan plate didn’t contain falafel. I asked to waitress and the falafel arrived after we paid the bill. Rice and fries was like leftover. Mixed plate contains only one samosa and falafel. It’s overpriced (10 euro)

Great experience dining in here! The plate was full with lamb and beef and we were able to mix side dishes with fries and rice. The bread as topped up with cheese. It can be very busy here but still worth a visit!

From the first cocktail (a delicious ginger number) to the last bite of dessert our time at Haus am See was perfect. Every bite of food was divine—all of the dishes were thoughtfully curated and the presentation beautiful. I must admit I’m a bit obsessed with their Warmer Schokoladenkuchen (the chocolate “lava cake”). Definitely take advantage of several courses. The menu and the setting of the restaurant beckon you to do so. It’s a dreamy location being right on a small lake right outside of Aachen. As an American, I’m used to rushing through dinner, but here I felt catered to and invited to enjoy (really enjoy!) the company of my friends amongst incredible food and drink. I’ve never felt more present during an evening of delicious food and conversation. This is the place to go to enjoy a dinner experience.

With my friends during our visiting day of Aachen we wanted to eat some German food and this restaurant near cathedral has a good reviews. It is a sort of fast food restaurant where the order is mad at cashier desk and then the plate of food is a ai le to be taken away when called. And in fact the reviews reflects the real life. Plates are delicious. I personally take the house speciality of the grilled sausage with curry sauce. It is served with French fries. I wasn’t disappointed.

What an incredible place to eat and drink some beers. The food was just delicious, the beers was incredible and to top it of have a freshly made warm pretzel which will rock your world. This was one of the best eating out experiences I have had in a very long time.

A must try. More than once. We visited this place in mid week to have lunch. The place was not croudy. Atmosphere is really nice, the theme is automotive 1960 70 like, boxing era. Something really nice and intersting. Then came the burgers: the bun is top, the patty is amazing, the added ingredients combination is awesome. You have the option to build your own burger. I tried a pulled pork burger and the international one. Both have distinct flavors, you can easly taste evrythi g in the burger. Not too much sauce, not too much cheese. Everything was well done and well assembled. The servixe was remarkably fast. I would only suggest to add more beer variations. No pkayground for kids, houwever the place seems kids friendly.

It’s a quite mediocre place. In the pictures, the atmosphere seemed higher in historic American coziness, what turned out a little disappointing. Service was good. Checkups to see if I needed something more or if everything was alright. They really look out to one’s comfort. Food was….kind of bad? It was eatable, yet not very enjoyable. I ordered one of the veggie burgers. Found it a little acidic and the homemade burger-bread was kind of tearing apart alongside being a bit soggy/mushy. The sweet potato fries were good. The classic homemade limonade was tasty. Simple but very flavorful (I personally love strong lemon taste). Next time I’d just order without much ice.

The food was delicious, however would not recommend going as a non-German speaker. They give you the food without any explanation, only give the title of the wine combined with your food. Used to be not bad. A couple of months ago ordered a donbury with salmon and it was extremely good, with salmon just slightly grilled on top and a good Japanese rice. Today I ordered the same dish to go and it was such a disappointment! The salmon was cooked through and literally burned, was very bitter and dry. Impossible to eat. Never again!

For ten years, whenever we wanted to go for sushi our first choice was to have diner with Oshii Aachen because of the excellent food, good service and friendly staff. Yesterday however turned out to be a big, fat disappointment! The service was poor, unfriendly staff and the food quality was not A1. We wondered about the decline of quality and could not help but to conclude the ownership changed. Anyway, this was our last visit to Oshii Aachen and because there are plenty of alternatives in Aachen, we can't recommend Oshii Aachen as the place to be ....
