In the 4 years I was here I enjoyed the school a great amount, having the structure is a great way to keep on track and achieve your goals. The communication could be better but it is improving, though there will always be small things with every school that people don’t like. Overall it has been a wonderful experience.
Farragut has played an important role of developing me as a leader. It is an honor to interact with students from all over the world on a daily basis. Techers really want to see their students succeed. However, facilities i.e. the dorms, athletic facilities, science labs could use some improvement. There is an impending renovation project that will hopefully address these issues!
It’s been a good 4 years, I’ve had a great time there and will recommend it. It has given me many opportunities and as well has helped me to be a good student and a mature person ready for adulthood. If I could go through high school again I would not go anywhere else. Some people might have mixed feelings about the school but from my point it helped me when I needed it.
Admiral Farragut Academy is a very diverse school with children from all over the world. The education levels at Farragut was tremendous. All teachers I had always showed high interest in what they taught. Lesson plans were arranged perfectly so we could understand the material. Sports at the school were not so good. Mainly because the football program was ended. The result of that led me to only run track. The military structure we are taught at Farragut help us better prepare for the real world. Basic principles such as respect and manners were all taught at Farragut and I am forever thankful to be a Admiral Farragut Academy Alumni.
While I have enjoyed my time at Admiral Farragut Academy, it leaves much to be desired. The school is diverse, which was amazing. The academics are not rigorous, and the teaching staff leaves much to be desired. The best teachers have left the school for a variety of reasons- much having to do with the upheaval of those in charge.
Lots of AP courses are offered, but anyone can take them. This forces the teachers to teach to the bottom of the class, often dragging everyone down and leaving us ill prepared for the college board exams.

I had a pretty good year in all the aspects of the school. I wish I was able to have came sooner and attended all the four years at the school. However I am luck to say I have graduated from there and am now a alumni of Admiral Farragut Academy.
My experience at Admiral Farragut academy was amazing. There are many leadership opportunities, excellence in transportation handling and many more involved. There is no other school I would rather have prepare me for college.
I have attended this school since kindergarten, 13 years. My overall feelings towards AFA are excellent, especially because of the myriad of opportunities. I am at this school primarily for the aviation program, and I took my first flight in Kindergarten. The scuba and aviation programs are very specialized and well thought out. I have become certified for scuba, and am about to earn my Private Pilot’s License through their program. I also highly recommend this school because of the academic environment, small classes, competitive sports teams, and more. The NJROTC program is also very good (IF YOU ARE INTERESTED), but if you are not interested in being held to discipline standards then it is not for you.
Pros:
Good academics
Good sports
Good JROTC
Good Clubs/Specialty Programs
Good food but not as great as it used to be
Cons:
Expensive as hell
JROTC is plagued by people who are uninterested because they came for something other than personal discipline and JROTC participation.

Admiral Farragut Academy is a really good place if your looking to strengthen your core values and find friends that will last a life time. As a boarder, I met many of my closest friends here. The small classes size makes it easy to teachers and students to interact and help maximize learning.
Sports were a really big part of my high school and the sports at farragut are really good. Specially the soccer team was a rally good fit for me.
Farragut is a pretty good school overall. It has its flaws but what school doesn’t.

I love this school and especially the girls varsity basketball program. I’ve been on the team for so many years and I’ve made so many long lasting friendships. It has great team building and overall a great vibe. If you know anyone interested let them know. I love the girls on my team and I will miss them when I graduate. They are like family to me.
Hey it honestly has a really big potential if they can communicate with their staff. But besides that I’ve been at this school for a couple years and I’ve met really good people and lifelong friends(dang that sounds cliché) but if you aren’t going in for sports or for the NJROTC program if recommend another school if not the sports are pretty good I can’t lie.
If you do come to farragut good luck, it looks amazing for college.

Best years of my life , it was a nice time and great experience. Amazing collage advisors that helped and did a great job. Great aviation program with a lot of opportunities.
I came my sophomore year, and it has been nothing but fun and interesting. The entire school is beautiful with the vibe of much older buildings. The community of Admiral Farragut is very welcoming and kind. You can always find the most amazing groups of people who coming together for common goals and desires. My third and final year as a senior has been wonderful and has well put me towards my college life and adulthood.
This school is a joke . It may be a good school at some point . Now they have new administration and the worst staff . They don’t know how to engage with parents or the kids . I have 2 kids that moved last year for boarding. It has been a horrible experience for my kids . They have been bullied, ridiculed and disrespected by the boarding staff. The teachers have made ethnic remarks in classrooms. The girls varsity basketball program is very bad . They force 8th graders to shave , if they don’t they get detention . These are just some of the things. There is unending list of issues with this school . Boarding has been the worst . Boarding has been a traumatic experience for my kids .
Academic programs are rigorous but the right fit for my honor student. Diverse options in sports and clubs. Beautiful campus, great location. My student and I recently traveled from overseas to visit the school and learn more about the opportunities they have to offer. The waterfront and dorm life was my daughters favorite part about visiting campus. We look forward to submitting an application.
Everyone is so open to creating new friends and experiences. The teachers help with any questions that are asked. It's a very good school and lots of friendly staff with a lot of available programs.
The majority of my classes have been in an online format, which can be difficult to navigate at times owing to technological challenges, but the professors have adapted effectively to online training, and I am certain that anyone can succeed in an online course at AFA.
