Lori's Obituary

Lori Lynn Black, 60, died Tuesday (January 16, 2024) at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.

She was born on February 18, 1963 in Franklin, Indiana, the daughter of Jerry and Barbara Silver Miller. Lori graduated from Franklin Community High School in 1982 and received her LPN License from Ivy Tech in Columbus, Indiana in 1995.

Through the years she had been a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Franklin. Lori had most recently worked as a Front End Assistant at the Wal-Mart store in Franklin. She loved to go shopping for and spending time with her grandchildren, and enjoyed making crafts and bracelets.  

A lifelong resident of Franklin, Lori had just moved to Bel Aire, Kansas to live close to her two sons Christifer Black and his wife Laura, and Nathan Black with his significant other Mickinzie Collins. Lori loved spending time with her grandchildren Logan Black, Melody Black, and Susanna Black. She is also survived by her sister Julie Maddox of Greenwood, Indiana.

Lori is preceded in death by her parents and brother Robert Miller.

A Celebration of Life will be held later in Franklin, Indiana.
