Awful experience with Lufthansa and Frankfurt Airport in general.
We booked our flights and Lufthansa recommended buying a lounge pass, which we did as we had a long stop there.
To our surprise, once we arrived in Frankfurt airport, we discovered that the lounge they had sold us was on the other side of the airport and we would need to leave and get through security again. Mind you we were only able to get some help after our third try speaking with staff (the instructions they gave us were all different).
We then went to their help desk and were told by the staff to try the other lounge that they would let us in. Guess what? They didn’t and told us we had to email to get a refund for the lounge as we could not use it.
After all this stress, we then proceed to security where the gentleman (the only nice person we found in Frankfurt airport) told us it was a bit early to get through security and to return at 10:50. Very well, we return at this time only to be told by a very rude lady we can only get through at 11:30. Once we explain to her we were told to come back at 10:50, she has the audacity to say “no one told you that”… I mean, excuse me???
Well we’re waiting now and I’m so terribly annoyed that I am using my time to leave a review.
Lufthansa, please step up on the customer service, this is completely inexcusable and if your staff can’t be remotely nice to people maybe they shouldn’t be working in a customer facing role.
Awful awful experience. Never flying Lufthansa again in my life!
