Would give 0/5 if possible.

I recently went to barcelona from Stockholm via norweigan but they lost my luggage and i was there the whole time without any belongings. Since i had booked my home ticket with lufthansa I wanted a refund for the checked in luggage i PAID around 40 euros for. Lufthansa is refusing to refund this even though i have the PIR report that my luggage was MISSING. How was i supposed to know that my luggage was going to be missing when i booked the flight? Embarassing company. If my complaint is not recognized and replied to soon i will take this further to court, media and the police.

Lost luggage, they could care less

Joke of an airline that mascarades as high end. Don't let them gate check your 'carry on' or you'll never see it again. Customer service is non-existent and gate agents across all airports are rude and dismissive.

Whats up with no AC?

An 8-hour flight. No airflow. Literally multiple people complaining. Windows need to be closed because 'it's too bright.'

Avoid at all costs

I recently traveled to Iran with Lufthansa, and my experience was extremely disappointing. Lufthansa canceled my flight, leaving me stranded without any viable options. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue, the airline failed to schedule a new flight for me. Their customer service was unhelpful and unresponsive, making a stressful situation even worse. I expected better from a reputed airline like Lufthansa. To make matters worse, I had to book another flight at a much higher price one day before my return. This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied, and I will think twice before booking with them again. I strongly advise others to be cautious and consider alternative airlines for their travel needs.

Pathetic food and customer service

I was on Munich to Vancouver flight. The food I ordered was yuck , not good in taste (Pics attached). I requested both the ladies flight attendant who were taking care of the aisle in question (40A) to get me something else to eat as the main food wasn't fit to eat, indigestible and spoiled. Shockingly they both refused to do the needful. I even asked them again as it's a long haul flight so at least they can arrange some snacks/ desserts or something else to consume... But it all fell on the deaf ears, they were quite rude and rough when again I requested them in the pantry area after the service with the hope at least they can help me with something to eat.. but they BLUNTLY said no.

Imagine the whole flight I travelled without any proper meal except the one they served before landing and that one was also too salty to be consumed.

It was really pathetic customer service that they didn't have anything else to serve. What a SHAME that LUFTHANSA Flight attendants couldn't arrange even snacks and I'm pretty sure they never wanted to make any efforts. How come in such long haul flights, they don't have anything extra or spare snacks (what to talk about meals) .... WORST EVER FLIGHT EXPERIENCE which has affected me emotionally, physically and mentally. I swore never to fly again with Lufthansa.

Customer relations is a nightmare

We were promised the hotelstay we booked due to a cancelled flight would be compensated. Now one month later Lufthansa customer relations is still trying with everything in their power to avoid reimbursement.

A daylight robbery from this airline

A daylight robbery from this airline. I booked a round trip from Budapest to Toronto with a fare of cancellation and refund. However, after a certain time, when I canceled and asked them for a refund, it shockingly refunded around $80 from around $500, although the fare stated full refund. I tried to reach out to them to complain, but nobody received it. I called the number they provided on their website in Budapest, and the officer said it would be refunded with some administrative deduction, but practically not. I tried to reach them via email, but they didn't give me a chance to do so. A big company that robs individuals deceptively. I adamantly recommend not to book in this airline.

Hopelessly incompetent....

Hopelessly incompetent. Booked a flight from London to Dusseldorf which is operated by their fully owned low cost airline Eurowings. Trying to check-in online, you get sent to the Eurowings check-in page but the Booking Reference is not accepted. You call Eurowings customer service line, spend 5 minutes going through menu items and silly announcements to only be told that they have to forward your call to another department. They do that, you go through the inane menu items and announcements once again only to be disconnected at the end. Not once not twice. You tell the customer service before they connect you again all they can say they cannot do anything about it. These INCOMPETENTS cannot build a system that can synchronise Booking References and not put the customer through sheer hell and waste their valuable time!

“I’ll take your sanity, well-being, and every penny in your wallet” -Lufthansa

Canceled my flight hours before. Re-routed twice & both got canceled. Spent $2,500 on another flight when I already paid for it. It’s impossible to try to talk to customer service. They said one flight leaving Vienna will count as my substitute flight, which should have been leaving Stuttgart… it did not and I had to pay full price going back to America (even though I already paid that when booking my flight half a year beforehand). When I got to the airport, I found out the flight they linked me to was sold out and I had to find another one. Mind you this was around 3:00 in the morning. Lufthansa screws over all their passengers and has no remorse or compassion doing it. In fact, I’d argue that they probably get off doing it. I spent $2,500 on a flight that I literally already paid for. Every time I tried to call I’d be put on hold for like an hour and then be forced to chat with a robot assistant and then kicked me out while I was in the middle of typing out my problem. Unorganized, hectic, stressful, chaotic. I cried in the airport from all the changes they made.

They forgot our luggages on a different…

They forgot our luggages on a different continent and when we gave them the recipes to get a refund on the 20euro items we bought (pijamas and a deodorant) to be able to sleep until we get back our luggages they refused saying that the recipes (POS recipes) are not good enough... I would avoid them from now on!

Worse flight ever seen from 2018 until…

Worse flight ever seen from 2018 until now . The stuff is agressive there is no security/insurance . So crowded of passengers because of this they are badwhen they are talking .. alot of delay and raisest towords arab and forginer like indian swedish and any one who is not from germany i think we need to close this kind of flight NO MORE LUFTHANSA #

Terrible

Any time I fly with them there is always an issue: delays all the time, luggage damaged, luggage delays ( right now I've been waiting for my luggage for more than 2h) . They are terrible and I would never ever fly with them in case I have other alternatives.

The best crew members I know so far

The best crew members I know so far. They have been doing the best.

That's unfortunately all good I can say about Lufthansa. The rest is getting worse over time. I don't even remember if I ever had a flawless flight without delay, missed flight because issues, lost luggage and so on.

I know that Lufthansa, as the entire business have some issues, but you can a pattern here. I think it would require only a minor refinements which can be solved by slightly better management.

Getting worst on daily basis

I had 8 flights with Lufthansa in April, most of them delayed, one cancelled. In case you need customer service, extremely rude or not helpful in my case. It was in more than 10 interactions 1 was a nice person. In case you want to claim compensation for cancelled flight, the email communication, you could be better off just leave it, you ll waste much time and very annoying responses.

I strongly suggest never chose the airline when u have other options, even low cost are better in service. I have to fly with it because of one destination , haven’t got other meeting it. Lately I even checked if I can go by train.

Best of luck if u fly Lufthansa.

Worst airlines ever!

Worst airlines ever!! Cancelled our flights and refunded only [partially instead of the full sum, even though it was them who cancelled the flights and not us. Called Contact Centre and they asked us to fill in webform. we did that, and guess what? No reply until now., daylight robbery! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Awful experience with Lufthansa and Frankfurt Airport in general.
We booked our flights and Lufthansa recommended buying a lounge pass, which we did as we had a long stop there.
To our surprise, once we arrived in Frankfurt airport, we discovered that the lounge they had sold us was on the other side of the airport and we would need to leave and get through security again. Mind you we were only able to get some help after our third try speaking with staff (the instructions they gave us were all different).
We then went to their help desk and were told by the staff to try the other lounge that they would let us in. Guess what? They didn’t and told us we had to email to get a refund for the lounge as we could not use it.
After all this stress, we then proceed to security where the gentleman (the only nice person we found in Frankfurt airport) told us it was a bit early to get through security and to return at 10:50. Very well, we return at this time only to be told by a very rude lady we can only get through at 11:30. Once we explain to her we were told to come back at 10:50, she has the audacity to say “no one told you that”… I mean, excuse me???
Well we’re waiting now and I’m so terribly annoyed that I am using my time to leave a review.
Lufthansa, please step up on the customer service, this is completely inexcusable and if your staff can’t be remotely nice to people maybe they shouldn’t be working in a customer facing role.
Awful awful experience. Never flying Lufthansa again in my life!

Ordered to handover my hand luggage…

Ordered to handover my hand luggage into the Airplane gargo bay in BLL, eventhough I’m on a 24 hour journey and therefore have no access to my needed stuff before Vietnam.
So no sleep ahead and business starts as som as I land in HCMC. Sorry Lufthansa you will Not support my expat trip for Vietnam the next couple of Years our collaboration ends now!

Why block check in until 24hrs before takeoff?

Impressive how discount airlines allow you to check in 30 days in advance so you can do it peacefully long before the pre journey stress kicks in, but if you fly one of the major players like Lufthansa, you are forced to wait until 24hrs before takeoff, where you are stressed and don't have the time. What a lackluster service!
