- miguelcaracochebuenos aires, Argentina101 contributionsThis is one place impossible to fail if you are in Hong Kong. What a beautiful city, and it's even beautiful from above. We did also the circle trek, quite recomendable because you will have other viewpoints with different angles than the ones you see from the peak itselfWritten June 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Yanie LShanghai, China8 contributionsI was recommended by hotel staff and did not regard it.
Best way travel between Central and TST side in such a good weather.Written May 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's hard to described how impactful it is to be there looking up at the big buddha. The monastery was also quiet lovely. There is a more touristy area outside the monastery area where you can dine and there are many souvenir shops to browse. But the monastery and the Buddha are the highlights. Wear comfortable shoes and be ready to walk up a lot of stairs if you want to go up to the top!Written May 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Timothy S4 contributionsIt's a great huge park! It has lot of rides, lot of events and shows, shops. The line up wait time is very long so come early, and the entrance and food are expensive. The mtr station there is specially designed to have the Disney theme and there is hotel there too. You can buy cheaper tickets on online sellers like klook, you can see them on Google mapsWritten June 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LolaGo1Washington DC, DC6,628 contributionsDue to land scarcity in the city, the only option is to build up. Thus the high rise buildings for residential and commercial uses came about. During the day, it is nice to walk along the promenade and watch the skyline; much better after sun set when it gets cooler and buildings got lighted.Written May 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - gcrefsBrisbane, Australia506 contributionsThe trams are so fun to ride on.
They have an extensive network on the HK island and you can gat around economically and see some great sights.
Would recommend you buy at Octopus Card (travel card) it costs HK$200 and includes HK$150 credit.
This can be used on ferries/trams/buses and trains. Plus can be used at most stores in HK to purchase food and other items.Written May 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The garden here is beautiful and meticulously maintained which examples of various plants, ponds, bonsai, rocks, traditional wood craft and joinery, etc. It is large enough to be worth the trip, but not so large that it would require an entire day to see. It is easily paired with the nunnery right across the street for a day or half day outing. Also a great place for some unique gifts and souvenirs.Written May 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Timothy S4 contributionsIt's a nice habour. There are the celebrities' hand prints at Avenue of Stars like Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Sammo Hung, Stephen Chow and others; the Bruce Lee statue is on the east end; the west end has the clock tower, Garden of Stars is in the middle. Lot of hotels and malls there. The symphony of light isn't that good. There are art, history, and cultural centre, space museums, restaurants, ferries. There are mtr stationsWritten June 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RoverPInverness, UK741 contributionsA lengthy cable car ride with sensational views. Unfortunately for us, we climbed into cloud halfway up, but we still had some fantastic views on the lower part of the run. It's a great way start your trip to see the Big BuddhaWritten April 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Timothy S4 contributionsIt's a huge park and it takes the whole day to go through the whole park! There are lot of animals to see, rides, shows, shops, cable car! The line up wait time usually is short. At disneyland have long wait time and more expensive, they have more rides there so I prefer ocean park. At night time there is a night show by the water fountains. There are hotels at ocean park. - WanderingRoosterSeattle, WA245 contributionsThe Chi Lin Nunnery was a very surprising highlight to our trip. I thought it was be interesting to go, but it was absolutely stunning and probably somewhere I would go back to over and over. It was incredibly peaceful and tranquil. The buildings and grounds were immaculate and beautiful.Written May 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mfilcol2014Lisbon, Portugal1,769 contributionsNo visit to Hong Kong is complete without visiting Lantau. Easy access from HK by metro. It has several attractions such as Big Budha, Po Lin Monastery, the fishing village of Tai O, not to mention Honk Kong Disneyland.
