We love coming to Muskogee for the Garden of lights and the Castle Christmas. The 2 hour drive is well worth it to see all the energy put into creating a Christmas Theme in a Medieval Village and taking the hayride to a whole different part of the village near the pirate ships was great.

This is a unique experience. Unfortunately due to a natural disaster a few years ago, you cannot go inside or on the submarine. Don’t let that deter you from visiting. Seeing this monster submarine up close makes you appreciate it even more. The cost is $3 to view all artifacts including the submarine. The museum curator is very friendly and able to answer any question one may have.

Very NICE! The wait to get in was worth it. We drove over a long way and this park has spent their time decorating and worth the admission.

The museum is located right next to the VA Medical Center and has its own small parking lot on the opposite side of the museum from the hospital. We spent about an hour touring the museum inside and outside. The ground floor has interesting exhibits about the Choctaw, Chickasaw, Cherokee, Muscogee Creek, and Seminole nations. The second floor has an art gallery with native art, and a room where you can view an informative historical film. We thought the museum was nicely done and worth our time to visit. Admission $4. There are restrooms at the back of the ground floor.

Small but mighty Muskogee stop. Small display of OK Country Music Hall of Fame honorees. The museum has an active event hall. The day we visited, the staff was preparing for a sold out crowd. The museum is in a historic building that has seen better days; but what would expect in the heart of good, solid country living? No cost to wander the exhibits.

Amazing wine - both red and white. Fantastic, friendly people. Don't miss a tasting or one of their fun classes :)

Nice little gem in the heart of Muskogee. Learn about the famous people and events in the Muskogee area. Spoiler alert: learn about Belle Starr, Bat Reeves, and Charlie Haskell; learn the importance of the Girls Scouts, Charles Lindbergh, Amelia Earhart to Muskogee. There is a small cost to the museum. Expect to spend 30-90 minutes at the museum.

This is a great place and well worth the hour drive from Tulsa when my grandsons are visiting. They love it and the admission price is very reasonable. Lockers are $3(you pay $5 and get $2 back when you return the key). This is a way better deal than the $10 locker at Safari Joe’s in Tulsa.

Two negatives: 1) they go to great lengths to keep people from bringing in food—as in TSA type bag checking 🙄. I’d be willing to pay more and be able to bring in snacks and bottled water. The food inside the park is overpriced and underwhelming, and extremely SLOW.
    2) I wish they were as diligent at keeping oversized kids out of the frog pond (toddler & small children area) as they are at keeping food from coming into the park. Life guards seemed oblivious to the preteens running over small children.
That said, We will be back for sure. We just fill up at Chick-fil-A before going in and there is a water fountain in the park.

This is a little known gem in Oklahoma Indian Country. Found in the Ataloa Lodge on the Bacone College campus along the Shawnee Bypass is one of America's best collection of Cochina dolls.

While vacationing in the Muskogee area, we visited the Public Library to use secure computer access for checking email. The staff was extremely friendly while assisting us through the process. This was a free service, requiring only our official ID's, and allowed us 1 hour use. The adult book and computer area is upstairs; the library is clean, spacious and has clean restroom facilities.

Having visited probably hundreds of antique stores over the years, I don't think that my wife and I have ever been to one as easy to navigate as this. Everything was laid out in easy to explore aisles and rows without having to go through a maze to make sure you hadn't missed anything. There's a wide variety of items on display, from small trinkets to large furniture and pretty much everything in between. If this were anywhere close to home we'd be regular visitors.

I actually visited their online store bought pecans from Mayers online. And they are the Best! They Are Large and Fresh and have a nice snap to them when you break them. And so Absolutely fresh tasting unlike what you find in the grocery stores. I tried roasted, fresh, dark and milk chocolate and cinnamon sugar. They also have honey butter, oil and gift baskets. Great gift ideas. Check them out.
