My school is not the best school but it has been good to me. I have achieved a-lot academically this year. My school also isnt the safest.
Hello my name is Trinity sims I have been attending Miramar high school since my grade grade year I love the prep rallies we have it’s very fun and we can get involved with the school and our peers , I love the football games we can attend in Friday nights , I also love the involvement of the teachers and staff at the school , something I don’t like is the way the students act out and get into fights that’s the only bad thing about the school I will be a senior in August and I am a proud to be 4-year patriot .
I liked Miramar. It was diverse enough and offered a variety of activities. I do wish there was a more applied focus on the certification programs offered
Former student of MHS, and so very grateful for the experience to see when it was predominantly white school, now the demographics has change and it’s still a powerful presence for student achievement and faculty engagement! I love the school and its stride for excellence.
Miramar High School is a place that will encourage you to thrive and continue to involve yourself in things comfort zone.
Miramar High School might have been the best 4 years of my life. I was a student in the IB program where i was able to gain college credits and learn so many ways to better my college experience. While at Miramar High School I joined the band and was a member for three years. My first year I played the clarinet and for my last two years I was a majorette (baton twirling). I will forever be thankful to the IB program and band because I was able to meet people who after three years of being out of high school I can still call a friend. I would have to say the worse part about being at Miramar is the seclusion I felt while being in the IB program. If not for band and other extracurricular activities I never would have had to the opportunity to interact with students and teachers who are not associated with the program. I hope in the future the school is able to recognize this and make it possible for IB students to interact with other students so that they can have a good experience.
As someone who attended this school for about 3 years now, I know nothing about college, there is no help here how to get a headstart they always tell you figure it out yourself and I hate that.
As my first year there as a senior, every one treated me like I already belonged there. The teachers were so kind hearted and kept me informed about everything.
Miramar High is a school I could never forget. Attending this school has opened me up to be more outspoken and involved in more clubs like student government association.
Miramar High is a very good school 99% of the students have great behavior and Miramar is a very resourceful school
My experience at Miramar is very good, as I have the necessary resources to challenge myself as we have AP, IB, and dual enrollment classes. But the main problem that I run into is that at times I feel like there isn't enough communication between the teachers, as assignments overlap, and we have to spend the entire class time doing homework instead of fully focusing on the lessons. But in the end, I feel that this will prepare us for college and the workload that we may face.

It's a really nice school the teachers are cool and the lunch is alright I guess. The only problem I would say is the work it can get very time consuming and make you stressful but other than that no problems and or issues.
Being a senior I’ve had sometime to experience the high school experience and environment. I’ve been attending Miramar high school for all four years and I can say it’s been an enjoyable ride.
Miramar high school is a pretty decent school all things considered. The kids tend to misbehave and i will say i do not miss high school, but i definitely miss the teachers that i had. Your teachers make or break your school year and i must say that most of the teachers i had while attending miramar were the best. They were funny, relatable, and good at teaching their respective subjects. The security were pretty cool too but they did do their job. The staff and administrators were pretty bad though. They really never helped with anything that you actually needed help with and overall were a pain to deal with every single time i needed to even interact with them at all. They really only cared about higher level kids such as the IB kids. Everyone else was considered bottom of the barrel in terms of importance. You would even be lucky to get what you needed done because they were too busy hanging out rather than being in the office helping kids. Other than that though theschool is good..
Miramar high school is a great school that will do overboard for you academically. The IB, dual enrollment and AP programs are great and push kids to the best of their abilities. My experience is great and I would not change a thing. My friends and teachers are amazing. Teachers will go out of their way to make sure you understand what’s being taught. My freshman year I spent it online due to Covid but sophomore year was the best ! However I would change one thing and it’s the negativity people have to say when they hear about Miramar. Every school have their downfall because we are all kids. Everyone talk about the bad and never the good. Miramar high have intelligent students that work hard to reach their goals.
During my time here at Miramar High School, I can say that I have enjoyed it so far. As I complete my day to day tasks within the school such as going to class, taking notes and learning in class, I have grown to appreciate the amount of effort teachers here put into aiming to improve the learning and education for students. I enjoy participating in the extracurricular activities such as sports like soccer where I play as a defensive player, clubs such as the Black Student Union where I serve as the Vice President as they are all very diverse and inclusive. However, one aspect I do not appreciate here at Miramar High School is the lack of sanitation within the bathrooms and the behavior of many students. In the future, I would love to see those factors change for the better.
