South Side High School offers many opportunities for students to find the pathway that suits them best for life after high school. From career pathways to honors classes and the International Baccalaureate program, every student has options. The worst part of my experience has been cleanliness, primarily due to the lack of janitor positions.
The students are really the problem mostly the boys but the teachers are really nice if a student is having a problem its most likely because of other students. The teachers will answer your questions and the clubs they offer are very fun. Homecoming was super fun and there were dance circles. The students are getting better. And a lot of students have bad grades but that is because they rather talk to their friends during class. And yes, I am a student writing this, so I am not evening lying to you. South side is a safe school and unless you get in trouble with the wrong people or start having friends with bad people you won't have problems also, they have a big dr*g problem. And administration really does nothing because they dont care and they dont mind going to ISS because the girl that works there is nice and stuff, so they don't see it as punishment they don't even go to Friday school.
I went to South Side throughout all four years of high school and I enjoyed my stay. They handled covid restrictions well, offer the IB program, have a rich history, and are home to a diverse group of students and staff. It would be a good place to attend school.
