Team Sweden announced today their preliminary World Cup squad for 2024 and the Wild have five players on it. 

Both Jesper Wallstedt and Filip Gustavsson made the team. With Flyers' goaltender Samuel Ersson rounding out the goalie group. 

Jonas Brodin is one of seven defensemen to make the team and both Joel Eriksson Ek and Marcus Johansson made the team as forwards. Sweden has 15 forwards on the roster. 

So far the Wild have had Brodin, Wallstedt, Gustavsson, Johansson, Eriksson Ek, Matt Boldy, Marco Rossi, David Spacek, Samuel Hlavaj, and Mats Zuccarello all playing in the 2024 IIHF Men's World Championships coming up. 

Wild head coach John Hynes is also the head coach for Team USA.
