ABOUT THEEXPERIENCE

I often host dinners with a theme. It can be Italian, French, Japanese, Chinese (as in Cantonese dishes) or Malay cuisine. This is to reflect just how international Singapore is! You can also find some traditional local cuisine on the menu too, though.

I host very often, almost once a month or more if time permits.

My cuisine normally consists of 3 to 5 courses. Prices quoted are without wines. But if you are a fan of wine, pairing of wines can be arranged at an extra charge.

I can also conduct cooking classes for the dishes I mentioned below.

French - Can choose a starter, an appetiser, a soup and a main out of this range : Salade Nicoise (Tuna Salad), Salade Au Lard (Bacon Salad) Wild Mushroom soup, Moules Marinieres (Fresh Mussels in White Wine sauce), Sole Meuniere (butter pan-fried sole), Beef Bourguignon (Stewed beef in red wine), Magret de Canard (Pan fried Duck breast), Coq-au-vin (Capon in red wine sauce) + 1 dessert, crab cakes and Cheese gougeres, puffs with salted caramel ice cream

Italian - Can choose a starter, an appetiser, a soup and a main out of this range : Wild Rocket (Arugula) and Parmesan Salad, Mozzarella and Tomato Salad, Minestrone soup, Italian lamb stew, Cioppino (seafood stew), Clam Risotto with wild mushrooms, Italian Spaghetti, Bolognese, Spaghetti with Shrimps,

Japanese - This will be a 3 to 4 ourse - A traditional Japanese salad, followed by either a grilled fish or a grilled beef or a steam dish of meat + veg. Main is Chirashi which is a variety of Japanese raw fish on Japanese rice accompanied by a seaweed soup.

Singapore Dishes - 3 to 4 dishes can be chosen from this range - Fried Hokkien Mee, Fried Kway Teow, Fried Carrot Cake with Eggs, Popiah, Yang Chow Fried Rice, Fried Chicken Wings.

Cantonese Dishes - 1 soup, 2 mains + 1 veg as a course dinner. Can be the following depending on availability of fresh produce in wet market - Double boiled chicken soup, steam fish, steamed minced pork with water chestnut, Salted egg fried chicken, steamed egg with minced pork, Lo-Han vegetable (medley of mix veg), Stir fried beef or pork with ginger and onions.
Black vinegared pork hock, hainanese pork chop, stewed beef with herbs, fish head bee hoon soup.

Malay Dishes - 3 mains + 1 veg served with rice. Can be chosen from the following depending on availability of fresh produce in wet market - Beef or Mutton Rendang (mild or spicy), Sayor Lodeh (mixed veg in coconut milk), Nasi Goreng (Spicy Fried Seafood Rice), Nasi Lemak (coconut rice) with Fried Chicken, egg omelette and ikan goreng (fried fish), tuna potato cakes, lontong, Mee goreng.

ABOUT THELOCATION

Meals will take place in a cosy culinary studio setting in the Bishan sports stadium area, the Substation is a 10mins walk away and there is ample parking for cars.
